Following Miitomo’s recent successes after its launch in Japan, Bloomberg reports that Nintendo’s stocks rose by 8.2 %, being valued at 16,515 yen as of today. This is the biggest jump Nintendo’s stocks have seen since February 2015. Nintendo’s partner (and mutual shareholder) DeNA saw a similar increase in their stocks, which went up by 6.5 %.
Granted, stocks, by nature, see a constant up-and-down, but it’s still good news for Nintendo after what can undoubtedly be called a successful launch for Miitomo. Of course, now everyone’s eyes turn towards the app’s launch in many western countries, which is scheduled for “late March” – likely next week.

ShonenGames has managed to obtain the full scan of Dragon Ball: Project Fusion from this month’s V Jump. As it turns out, the game has a new, final name. It’ll be called “Dragon Ball: Fusions” from here on out.
We’ve already talked about three of the fusions that are possible: Pillin / Pirilin (Piccolo x Krillin), Gollin / Gorilin (kid Goku × Krilin), and Krigohan (Krillin x kid Gohan). Note that characters who fuse without the wristband, which doesn’t involve EX fusion, will gain the fusion costume that can be seen on Pillin.
Players will be able to make their own character in Dragon Ball: Fusions. It will be possible to choose between Human, Saiyan, Alien, Spirit Worldian, and Namekian races.
Finally, as far as the story is concerned, the player and Pinich make a wish to Shenron to create the strongest Budokai in the universe. In turn, the world of Dragon Ball is fused together to participate in the Jikuuichi Budokai.
You can see the fully translated Dragon Ball: Fusions scan above.

Miitomo is available on two major platforms in Japan right now: iOS and Android. We know that Nintendo’s debut mobile app has been tearing up the Apple charts, but what about Google? At the moment, Miitomo is sitting at the top of the charts as the top free download for Android apps.
Nintendo brought out Miitomo in Japan last Thursday. It’s expected to head west by month’s end.
Update 2: Here’s what Slaczka told Polygon:
“WB cancelled [Scribblenauts: Fighting Words] today so we had to lay off the staff. It happened so quick we’re not sure what the plans are going forward yet.”
Update: Despite what we’ve been hearing, 5th Cell has not shut down. The studio did lay off some employees following layoffs last week, but creative director Jeremiah Slaczka says the company remains in operation. Layoffs came about to due Warner Bros. cancelling a Scribblenauts mobile game, according to Kotaku. Slaczka added that the remaining staff is “tiny”.

5th Cell, makers of the Scribblenauts series, is closing its doors. That significant piece of information comes by the way of the studio’s lead animator Tim Borrelli.
Scribblenauts was definitely the biggest name attached to 5th Cell, and the series was hugely successful back in the day. On Nintendo platforms, the company also created Drawn to Life and Lock’s Quest.

System: 3DS (review of Wii U original here)
Release date: March 25, 2016
Developer: Koei Tecmo
Publisher Nintendo
When I first reviewed Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U back in 2014, I fell in love with its epic battles and large scope surrounded by Zelda references and throwbacks galore. Now that Nintendo and the folks at Koei Tecmo have decided to dive back into the Zelda world by porting the game into Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS, will sacrificing a bit of the scope for more content help this game become the definitive version, or will it just become a legend of the past?
