Nintendo will be in attendance at PAX East this weekend, and the company will have a few games on display.
On Wii U, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Star Fox Zero will be playable. There will also be play opportunities for Kirby: Planet Robobot, Monster Hunter Generations, and Metroid Prime: Federation Force on 3DS. Indie titles Axiom Verge and Tumblestone are showing up at the developers’ respective booths on the show floor as well.
In terms of activities, Kirby is going to be on hand for photo opportunities at Nintendo’s booth. The following Bravely Second panel is also scheduled:
In addition to all the fun playable games, Nintendo will host a Bravely Second: End Layer panel on Sunday, April 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET in the Dragonfly Theatre. The panel will feature developers from SQUARE ENIX discussing the creation of the just-released role-playing game. Behind-the-scenes info, such as concept art and gameplay, will be shown, concluding with an audience Q&A. On Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET, the SQUARE ENIX developers will also be at the Nintendo booth to meet fans and sign autographs.

Here’s a new trailer:
A new Japanese trailer for the upcoming 3DS title Zero Time Dilemma has made its way online. The trailer highlights each of the characters trapped in the puzzles. Check it out below:
Emily Rogers posted a new article regarding Nintendo’s software plans for NX. You can read the full piece here, but we did want to highlight some of what was written on the site.
This is all unconfirmed of course, but here’s a look at the main points:
– The big fundamental focal point (and overall goal) behind NX is to vastly increase the software output from Nintendo’s first party teams and studios.
– To accomplish this, the entire process of how Nintendo develops and produces software has gone through radical changes.
– There is a new strategy that was put in place to create and release first party software at a faster rate.
– Multiple unannounced Wii U projects were moved over to NX.
– The NX could potentially see the highest output of first party software in the company’s history. (I’m talking about the entire lifespan of NX. Not just one or two years.)
Rogers also writes that “the NX’s software output will blow away the Wii U’s software output” and within a year, “will build a larger library of games than Wii U produced in three or four years.”
Additionally, Rogers stresses that some games won’t necessarily avoid delays, and it’s possible that there will still be gaps between releases. Nintendo may also choose to save game announcements for different events, meaning we may not see the full slate at E3 or even by launch.
After an incredibly long wait, Pinball Arcade is finally coming to the North American Wii U eShop this week. You’ll be able to download it for free (spend money on tables) starting on Thursday.
The official game page on Nintendo’s website says that regular updates are planned, which will add the likes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Twilight Zone, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Monster Bash, Medieval Madness, Funhouse, Attack from Mars, Circus Voltaire, and Big Shot. Pinball Arcade will also feature online tournaments and more modes “to challenge yourself and compete against your friends.”
In Japan, Game Freak has filed for a couple of interesting trademarks. The Pokemon developer registered the names “Solgaleo” as well as “Lunaala”. Folks are now speculating that these two could be the mascot starters in Pokemon Sun/Moon.

A trademark for “Gigareki” was also registered separately, but it’s not entirely clear what the name is for at present.
While it’s unknown if any of these trademarks are actually tied into Pokemon Sun/Moon, the possibility is certainly there. We can look forward to receiving official information on the two games within the next few weeks.
RCMADIAX is continuing development on Wii U games. The indie developer has announced several titles as of late, and one more has now been added to the mix: Invanoid.
Invanoid is described as an “invaders/brick blaster combo” that “combines fun animations with endless high score gameplay.” It’s targeted for launch in June.
