Final Fantasy Explorers made it out today in North America, and it’s due out in Europe at the end of the week. You can purchase the game either physically or digitally. If opting for the latter, you’ll need to reserve 5,021 of free blocks on an SD card. That amounts to roughly 627.6MB.

The folks over at Smosh have once again produced an “honest trailer” for a game. This time, the video focuses on Super Mario Maker. Check it out below.

Earlier today, Great Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination was officially revealed with a Japanese trailer. GameXplain has now re-posted the video with English subtitles – view it below.

Abstraction Games is currently working on bringing Whispering Willows to Wii U. After that, two more titles from the company will hit Nintendo’s console. Abstraction plans on having Kick & Fennick as well as Devil’s Dare on the eShop.

Here’s an overview and trailer for Kick & Fennick, which previously launched on the PlayStation Vita:

“Kick & Fennick is a brand new platform adventure about a little boy with a very big gun.

Soon after waking up in a desolate but colorful world, Kick meets a small flying robot named Fennick. When Fennick saves Kick from a menacing guard robot, they find out Fennick’s battery is broken. Together, they embark on an adventure to the Core Tower to find Fennick a new energy core.

Besides shooting down enemy robots, Kick can make huge jumps by using his gun’s powerful recoil. Jump and shoot your way through 45 levels of collapsed skyscrapers, treadmills, bouncypads, magnets, teleporters and that big guard robot who’s never far behind!

Kick & Fennick features colorful 3d graphics, detailed animation, a cinematic camera system and smooth character movement and physics. “

The new Pokemon 3DS Virtual Console games don’t support Restore Points. However, Red, Blue, and Yellow will all allow for wireless trading and battling. GamesBeat shares more about how this works.

You can begin trading by talking to the Cable Club counter. After that, a menu shows up on the lower screen that lets you set up a room or join somebody else’s request. Like the original versions, you sit down at the terminals across from the opposing player. Wireless battles work in a similar fashion.

This shouldn’t be a major shock, but it’s not possible to trade Pokemon you’ve caught in the Virtual Console games to the newer entries. Trading is only allowed between Red, Blue, and Yellow.

We also have a couple of other random tidbits. The Game Boy Printer menus are still in, and Surfing Pikachu remains in the games as well. However, Nintendo isn’t sure how or if it would be distributed.

The “React” channel is back with another gaming-centric video, this time for Super Mario Maker. Below, you can get an idea as to how adults feel about the Wii U title after taking on several levels.

Blathers and Celeste are among the newest Animal Crossing amiibo. When used in amiibo Festival, the two characters act much like they do in previous Animal Crossing games.

You’ll notice that Blathers and Celeste snooze during the day. They’ll be hunched over, and both have sleep bubbles. When it’s their turn, they are shocked awake. Of course, if it’s night time, the two characters will be awake.

Siliconera points out that Blathers and Celeste are the first characters with unique behavior in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival. That’s pretty neat!

In Fire Emblem Fates’ original Japanese release, the game allowed players to stroke characters on the 3DS’ lower screen. For the west, Nintendo has decided to remove this element.

Kotaku confirmed with the company that petting has been completely removed. In a statement, one representative from Nintendo explained while also defending the original intent of the Japanese version:

“Yes, that is the case [that petting isn’t in the English version]. You might have heard somewhat misinterpreted or exaggerated information about the Japanese original game, but even in the Japanese original version, we have not included any features which are considered inappropriate in Japan.”

Here’s a look at the petting in question:
