Yo-kai Sangokushi is launching in Japan sooner than some may have expected. A new promo has gone live on the magazine’s YouTube page, revealing an April 2 release date. You can see that below, although it admittedly doesn’t hold anything too interesting.

The Japanese Pokken Tournament website has updated with a few more details about the game. Here’s the latest:

– Single Battle: 3 difficulty modes
– This is a new mode on Wii U
– Local battle mode officially announced
– 30 FPS instead of 60 with local multiplayer
– Online mode
– this has rankings and competitions
– Can use a LAN Cable to link two Wii Us, where the game will run at 60fps

We also have two more sets of support Pokemon: Pachirisu and Magikarp, plus includes Sylveon and Croagunk.

Super Mario Maker’s latest Event Course and costume have gone live. You can now tackle the Adventure in Sarasaland level. Once finished, you’ll receive the Daisy outfit.

Here’s an overview of Adventure in Sarasaland:

“Start in the land of Super Mario Bros. and cross the water into the land of… Super Mario Land! That’s the idea behind this course. Transform into Princess Daisy and explore Sarasaland!”

And here’s a complete look at the course:

From a Nintendo perspective, there’s not too much to report on from the latest NPD sales. Wii U and 3DS games were completely absent from the December chart as well as overall top 10 sales in 2015. However, GamesBeat did manage to obtain an interesting piece of information from analyst Liam Callahan.

Callahan said that Wii U experienced its second-best month “in terms of new physical software unit sales.” The holiday season likely played a big role in that, as well as games such as Super Mario Maker.
