Yesterday, Nintendo teased three classic games for release on the Wii U eShop this week. Those titles have since been revealed.
Listings on the ESRB indicate that Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards are coming to the North American Wii U eShop. Each one should be available starting tomorrow.
Spicysoft brought two Bike Rider DX games to the 3DS eShop. It’s now looking like these same titles are making their way to Wii U.
In Nintendo’s latest financial report, a couple of Bike Rider games are listed for its console. “Bike Rider Ultra DX – Galaxy Tour” and “Bike Rider Ultra DX – World Tour” are mentioned in the report. We don’t have any details about how they’ll play on Wii U or when they’ll be available, sadly.
With the release of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer in Japan, we’re able to look at some of the game’s features in-depth. Above you can see what sort of skin tone options are included.
We also have shots showing the hair and eye options in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Aside from that, there’s confirmation that the title features 48 emotions (eight more than New Leaf).
We have another 48 minutes from Legend of Kay Anniversary running on Wii U. Watch the latest video below.
This month’s EDGE review scores are as follows:
Her Story – 9
The Magic Circle – 7
The Swindle – 7
Rise of Incarnates – 6

We’ve been posting bits and pieces from Nintendo’s latest financial results throughout the day, but we have one final excerpt to share. The company’s report includes some comments about its activities and sales during the last quarter, which we thought was worth sharing.
Here’s the full excerpt:
During the three months ended June 30, 2015, for Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL, which were launched during the previous fiscal year as the newest members of the Nintendo 3DS family, continue to expand their sales, and the global sales of the Nintendo 3DS hardware reached 1.01 million units. As for the Nintendo 3DS software, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright/Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, which were released in June for Japan, got off to a good start, while titles such as GIRLS MODE 3 Kirakira?Kode (translation of Japanese title) and Rhythm Tengoku (temp.) gained popularity among female consumers in Japan. Back in the day, Rare had plans to create a follow-up to Perfect Dark. Velvet Dark would have acted as a “sister” game to the N64 title, according to former staffer Gregg Mayles.
Mayles shared a photo of Velvet Dark’s design document on Twitter earlier today:
No 21: There was a planned 'sister' title to #RareReplay Perfect Dark called Velvet Dark. pic.twitter.com/1oOlmrAPUF

@SubDrag N64 if I remember rightly.

Mayles indicated that Velvet Dark would have been an N64 title, but there’s some debate about that. This is a very interesting piece of gaming history in any case!
