With Bayonetta 3 having just released last October, it was unexpected, to say the least, when a new game in the form of Cereza and the Lost Demon was revealed so soon after. However, it was clear from the get-go that this wouldn’t be the typical experience fans have grown to know and love, and would instead delve into a more relaxed but still engaging tale of the character’s upbringing. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a game that is surprising in more ways than one but is a pleasant gift to longtime fans of the franchise that gives Bayonetta a different, charming perspective with a gorgeous art direction and not once overstays its welcome. In some cases, despite being a spinoff, it could arguably be the best title the series has seen to date, and it’s a perfect place to jump into for those that have been hesitant to get acquainted with the Umbran Witch.
LEGO 2K Drive is seeing a retail release on Switch, but probably not in the way that most would have hoped. Rather than including an actual physical cartridge, it looks like 2K Games is opting to simply including a download code.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen something like this, and it definitely won’t be the last. However, given that LEGO 2K Drive is a fairly significant game release, it’s somewhat of a surprise. Not everyone will care – especially if you were planning on going digital in the first place – but it’s still worth bringing up.
Chucklefish brought Wildfrost to Switch this week, and we have a lengthy batch of gameplay. 40 minutes of footage shows off the tactical roguelike deckbuilder.

We heard last year that Nintendo had halted shipments to Russia following the country’s invasion of Ukraine. However, it’s being reported that the head of Nintendo’s Russian division seemingly set up a secondary company to import and sell games to get around the ban. Meanwhile, the Big N itself has also weighed in with an official statement.
Kommersant reports that Metroid Prime Remastered is being sold in Russia through Achivka. Yasha Haddazhi, who’s leading things over at Nintendo Russia, is apparently importing Nintendo games and consoles. Haddazji apparently founded Achivka last December and is the majority owner. Ksenia Kachalova is also a minority owner.
