Nintendo sent out a demo for the BoxBoy! series on the Japanese 3DS eShop today, including a taste of Goodbye! BoxBoy! (launching next week). Check out some footage below.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 received DLC in Japan this week. It’s planned for North America and Europe as well. In a blog post, Inti Creates said it’s targeting January for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2’s DLC.

A demo was also supposed to go live in North America on Thursday, but it wasn’t mentioned in the official Nintendo Download announcement. I’m also not seeing anything on the eShop itself, so there must have been some sort of miscommunication. In any case, Azure Striker Gunvolt’s 2 demo should be out sometime in January.

Lastly, the Azure Striker Gunvolt New Year’s wallpaper pictured above can be downloaded here.

Want to try Super Mario Run before launch next week? Reggie Fils-Aime said on the tonight show that a demo for the game is coming to Apple stores starting today.

If you’d like to give 3Souls a try before making a purchase, you’ll be able to do so as of next week. A demo for the game will be released on the Wii U eShop next Thursday.

This information comes from Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima…

We released the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version starting on October 18th. Although the demo version only released last week, it has already passed 3.5 million downloads, the fastest start for any demo in the history of the Nintendo 3DS system. This point also shows the breadth of the audience for these games.

For the most part, the Pokemon Sun/Moon demo is the same on all 3DS systems. The experience itself is exactly the same obviously. Differences on New 3DS and regular 3DS (plus 2DS) systems come down to how it runs.

Just as we’ve talked about before, the demo disables things like Miiverse on older 3DS systems. It also causes the system to fully reboot when it’s closed.

You can view a comparison video between the New 3DS and regular 3DS below. Again, they’re mostly the same, though the New 3DS seems to handle the last battle better in terms of performance.

Update: The demo is also live in Australia. Thanks thrillmo!

If you happen to own a Japanese 3DS, you can now get your hands on the Pokemon Sun/Moon demo. Nintendo just put it up on the digital store a couple of moments ago. Other regions should follow over the next several hours.

Thanks to Nintendo Life, we have another look at the new Pokemon Sun/Moon demo releasing imminently. Have a look at some English gameplay below.

Earlier today, the Pokemon Sun/Moon Special Demo Version was finally confirmed. According to a notice on the Japanese Pokemon website, it will take up roughly 400MB / 3,100 blocks. The Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire demo was 250MB / 2,000 blocks in comparison.

The Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Special Demo Version launches on October 18. It’ll allow you to meet some of the new Pokemon, and Ash-Greninja can be transferred to the full game.
