Pokemon Sword/Shield

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have both been updated. Version 1.3.1 is available, which addresses some bugs/issues.

Major updates for Pokemon Sword/Shield have likely wrapped up at this point. Version 1.3.0 dropped towards the end of October, and it included support for The Crown Tundra expansion and additional Pokemon.

2021 will mark the 25th anniversary of Pokemon, and news regarding plans for the celebration will be shared in the future. Previously-announced titles include New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Unite, and a new Detective Pikachu.

Dead Cells - "Malaise Update"

The next major patch for Dead Cells is almost here. Expected on Switch in January 2021 is the “Malaise Update”, which features a color scaling rework, malaise rework, new mutations, a new mob, new weapon,  new outfits, the ability to heal with cheese, backpack rework, Hand of the King lore room, quality of life fixes, and more.

Stardew Valley

The long-awaited 1.5 update for Stardew Valley has just gone live on PC. It’s not available on consoles just yet, but ConcernedApe says that this should be happening in early 2021.

Version 1.5 includes major late-game content, with ConcernedApe stating that the update is “by far the biggest solid chunk of new content that’s been added to the game since launch.”

QV

CFK has announced a new Christmas update for its action-adventure title QV.

The update will add a Santa Dress as a costume as well as the “Casino Dealer” outfit and “Braid” hairstyle as rewards for in-game achievements. In the game, players can complete achievements to earn customization items.

The update also enhances game stability, including the ability to capture 30-second videos.

Stardew Valley

ConcernedApe is continuing to tease Stardew Valley’s major 1.5 update. Today, a couple of new elements were introduced.

Players can look forward to the “Beach Farm” farm type as well as the “Advanced Game Options” menu. Note that these new options will only be available when making a new form. Aside from one exception, they can’t be changed once you’ve started the game.

Stardew Valley is currently available on Switch. A release window for the update has not yet been announced.

Farming Simulator 20

Farming Simulator 20 has been updated on Switch. Aside from bug fixes and optimizations, it also includes some new content and the ability to exit vehicles and walk around.

CrossCode

Recently, CrossCode received a new 1.0.11 update on Switch. Players can now access the Holiday Man quest during December and January. It’s located in Bergen Village.

According to Deck13, CrossCode will soon be receiving New Game+ functionality. The first submissions for this next update are planned for early January. When the feature is live on Switch, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft Dungeons was patched on Switch this week, bringing the game to version 1.7.3.0. The update is intended to address a few issues that recently appeared.
