Overcooked: Special Edition’s performance on Switch was previously addressed with an update. However, the game has been improved further with another patch today.

Aside from giving Overcooked another performance enhancement, the game has added a Japanese language option. Japan will be getting the game on October 12.

Saber Interactive is cooking up the first DLC for NBA Playgrounds. It’s out on other platforms now, but “Hot N’ Frosty” will be on Switch soon.

The new DLC contains the new playgrounds Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Miami, each with their own tournament. The rookies Markelle Fultz, Jayson Tatum, Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., Jonathan Isaac, and Malik Monk are also included. Pricing is set at $9.99.

Last week, Konami announced a new update for Super Bomberman R. The company is adding Grand Prix mode as well as the Jehuty, Anubis, and Reiko Hinomoto Bombers. More information has been shared about the update in recent days.

Golf Story came out this week in the midst of much buzz. Despite being available for just a few days, it’s already climbed to the top of the eShop charts. The reception has definitely gone over well, but Golf Story does have some issues. Players have come across bugs and other small problems that do need to be addressed – you can see an extensive list here.

Fortunately, Sidebar Games intends to patch the game. The developer has been made aware of all the various issues and should be addressing them over time. No word yet on when the first update is going live, but we’ll let you know when there’s any news.

A new patch has been issued for Namco Museum on Switch. If you’ve downloaded the game, version 1.0.1. is available.

The patch notes are as follows:

– Improvement of input delay on some titles
– Game operation stability improvement
– Revising issue of displaying improper numbers on some ranking scores
* Some way to display ranking is changed

Bandai Namco also says that the input delay fix is just an improvement. The few frames delay is impossible to avoid due to the nature of Switch’s hardware. It’s impossible to be fixed completely.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has been updated in both North America and Europe. After downloading the latest patch, you should be at version 1.2.

We’re hearing that Nicalis has added new items from the booster packs. Charge bars has also been added to the settings, and some bugs may have been addressed. If we see any official patch notes, we’ll add them in here.

Update: Full patch notes added below. Nintendo also fixed a couple of issues and made adjustments to fighters and ARMS.


Original: ARMS already received a big update this month in the form of the Lola Pop patch, adding the new character and more. Just a couple of weeks later, another patch has been issued. Players can download version 3.1.0.

One thing we’ve noticed is that the Sparring Ring has been added in as a fully playable stage, and can be selected in Ranked Match. We’re waiting on the full patch notes, and we’ll add them in here when they’re live.

Upfall Studios has pushed out a new update for the Switch version of Quest of Dungeons. It offers a smattering of fixes and improvements.

The full patch notes are below:

– Fixed bug causing crash in Custom game mode with 110×110 floors
– Minimap can now be closed by pressing the “-” button again, B still applies
– Improved navigation in main menu options, some menus could be a bit “laggy” when closing
– Improved overall save times
– Fixed credits glitch
– Fixed main menu animation artifact

Call and Joule were added to Mighty Gunvolt Burst in Japan yesterday as new DLC characters. In North America and Europe, this same content is now available as well.

The DLC characters are joining Mighty Gunvolt Burst as part of a version 1.2 update. However, Call and Joule are both paid DLC, costing $2 each.

Kingdom: New Lands recently launched on Switch. Unfortunately, the game suffers from some notable issues. We’re talking big frame rate drops, crashes, system freezes, lost progress in saves, and more. The game definitely needs some work.
