Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom director on what happened to the Sheikah tech from Breath of the Wild
Posted on 1 year ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom builds on the mechanics and world of Breath of the Wild, but there are some elements that are absent such as the Sheikah Towers and Guardians. In their place are things like the Skyview Towers and new types of enemies we didn’t see in the previous title. But what happened to the Sheikah tech in Breath of the Wild anyway?
Hidemaro Fujibayashi, who was the director on Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, offered up an explanation in an interview with The Telegraph. He explained that the Sheikah technology simply disappeared – which the people of Hyrule apparently saw. However, Fujibayashi said “it is considered a mystery.”
The 10 rarest amiibo figures of all time, ranked

Over the years, Nintendo has produced and released well over 150 unique amiibo figures – and may of them are now rare. At the time of writing, less than fifteen of those are readily available from retailers. Indeed, if you’re in the market for new figurines, you’ll often have no choice but to purchase them second-hand. That being said, a small chunk of those are a cut above the rest. Several amiibo figures received region-exclusive or incredibly limited prints and were never restocked again. Today, we’re going over the ten rarest amiibo that may never return to store shelves.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, producer Takashi Tezuka said that this time around, they “really wanted to give the designers more freedom than we would have in the past.”

Satoru Iwata’s work on Pokemon Gold and Silver clarified

Although it’s known that late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata worked on Pokemon Gold and Silver, there have been some inaccurate reports regarding his actual contributions. While some have claimed that he helped make both Johto and Kanto fit on a single cartridge, it turns out that wasn’t the case.
Did You Know Gaming relays that Satoru Iwata did indeed write up an an algorithm for Pokemon Gold and Silver, but it was about speed – not size. Iwata’s code saves a fraction of a second at the start of battles, when Pokemon come out, and more. Essentially it all adds up to faster load times. Interestingly, the algorithm was a tweaked version of what was used in EarthBound and other titles from HAL Laboratory.
