Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash now has a release date, and Bandai Namco has also unveiled a number of different editions including a collector’s edition.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash will launch for Switch on February 2, 2024. Here’s a rundown of the various editions:

Windjammers 2 update Jamma GX03 and Anna Szalinski cross-play

A major update has just come to Windjammers 2, with the game adding Jamma GX03 and Anna Szalinski as playable characters plus new modes, cross-play, and more.

How To Play and Practice modes are now available on Switch. And aside from cross-play, the game has received lobbies.

Here’s some additional information:

Switch update 17.0.0

The latest firmware update for Switch just released, and version 17.0.0 should begin to roll out for all system owners.

Similar to upgrades as of late, there’s again nothing here in terms of functionality. Nintendo has done some small tinkering behind the scenes and promises another wave of stability improvements.

Here’s the official patch notes (or single patch note) from Nintendo:

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs

While one Pac-Man battle royale experience on Switch just shut down, Bandai Namco just revealed a new game for the franchise titled Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs. The title is launching in early 2024.

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is officially described as a competitive eating battle royale with support for up to 64 players. Expect to go through multiple interconnected mazes using Power Pellets and different Power Items to chomp the Ghosts and Pac-Man opponents. Similar to other battle royales, you’ll look to be the last Pac standing at the end of the match.

LEGO Animal Crossing sets

Following the recent news that new LEGO Animal Crossing products are on the way, full details have been revealed, including all sets, a final release date, and pricing.

LEGO Animal Crossing will release on March 1, 2024. The lineup includes Julian’s Birthday Party, Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities, Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour, Isabelle’s House Visit, and Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House. The different products “have been developed to fit together easily and offer a high level of customization, for instance it’s possible to switch elements between buildings – including the window frames – with one simple click.” Further mentioned is how they “can be adapted, mixed, and changed, enabling builders to create their own worlds and make the settings unique to them.”

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Sheikah Towers Guardians tech

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom builds on the mechanics and world of Breath of the Wild, but there are some elements that are absent such as the Sheikah Towers and Guardians. In their place are things like the Skyview Towers and new types of enemies we didn’t see in the previous title. But what happened to the Sheikah tech in Breath of the Wild anyway?

Hidemaro Fujibayashi, who was the director on Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, offered up an explanation in an interview with The Telegraph. He explained that the Sheikah technology simply disappeared – which the people of Hyrule apparently saw. However, Fujibayashi said “it is considered a mystery.”

rarest amiibo

Over the years, Nintendo has produced and released well over 150 unique amiibo figures – and may of them are now rare. At the time of writing, less than fifteen of those are readily available from retailers. Indeed, if you’re in the market for new figurines, you’ll often have no choice but to purchase them second-hand. That being said, a small chunk of those are a cut above the rest. Several amiibo figures received region-exclusive or incredibly limited prints and were never restocked again. Today, we’re going over the ten rarest amiibo that may never return to store shelves.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder freedom

One of the big concepts we’ve been hearing about with Super Mario Bros. Wonder is player freedom. However, it turns out that this applied to the actual development as well.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, producer Takashi Tezuka said that this time around, they “really wanted to give the designers more freedom than we would have in the past.”

A new month started up this past week. Now that we’re in October, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Have you gotten your hands on the recently-released Detective Pikachu Returns? How about other games like Borderlands 3, Wargroove 2, or Disgaea 7? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.

Satoru Iwata Pokemon Gold and Silver

Although it’s known that late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata worked on Pokemon Gold and Silver, there have been some inaccurate reports regarding his actual contributions. While some have claimed that he helped make both Johto and Kanto fit on a single cartridge, it turns out that wasn’t the case.

Did You Know Gaming relays that Satoru Iwata did indeed write up an an algorithm for Pokemon Gold and Silver, but it was about speed – not size. Iwata’s code saves a fraction of a second at the start of battles, when Pokemon come out, and more. Essentially it all adds up to faster load times. Interestingly, the algorithm was a tweaked version of what was used in EarthBound and other titles from HAL Laboratory.
