  • The “chance shots” mechanics from Mario Tennis Open makes a return
  • You can use the Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller and the Classic Controller Pro in addition to the Gamepad to play the game
  • No motion controls or touch screen controls
  • You can play online against other players, including a mode where you and another person on the same Wii U can play together against other teams online

This week, Famitsu has another feature on The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. Along with a general article about the game, there’s also a small interview with some of the game’s developers, including series producer Eiji Aonuma. Although most of the discussion naturally focused on Tri Force Heroes, Famitsu did ask a couple of other questions about the franchise.

Next year will be the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. When Famitsu mentioned this, Aonuma told the magazine:

“This year we wanted a Majora’s Mask concert, so it is not impossible that there may be a 30th anniversary concert next year. However, as we are trying to complete the new Zelda as fast as possible, that is all that is on our minds. That being said, we hope something will take form for the 30th anniversary. It is especially important to a producer of the series, so I hope to give something everyone can look forward to next year.”

Nintendo has revealed a brand new cover plate for the New 3DS. Next month, the company will release a design based on Super Mario Maker in Japan.

Back in June, a European boxart image popped up, suggesting that Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival would support online play. This sadly appears to be untrue.

Having just played Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival and spoken with a representative at a press event, GameXplain reports that there is no online multiplayer of any sort. Fans probably won’t be too pleased with that news!

Nintendo just went live with a new trailer for Yo-kai Watch. You can view it below.

New modes are on the way to Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden. In the most recent issue of V-Jump, it’s announced that the game will be adding online battles and a training mode.

Along with new modes, it looks like a collaboration with the Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 is in the works. That’s on top of new support characters as well.
