Before yesterday, the Crunchyroll Wii U app could only be used by premium members. However, the app now supports all types of members, including those who aren’t paying for a subscription. That means you can watch free anime on Wii U – you’ll just need to watch some ads in between!

Nintendo will soon be adding another multiplayer map to Splatoon.

Starting tomorrow, players will be able to battle in Camp Triggerfish. This will be made available at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT / 3 AM in the UK / 4 AM in Europe.

Here’s the official announcement from the Splatoon Tumblr page:

Pack your knapsack because we’re going to camp. Camp Triggerfish, that is!

When the Inklings aren’t busy making s’mores or boondoggle key chains, they enjoy the majestic scenery afforded by camping the best way they know how – Turf War! Battles here play out across a series of bridges, which you’ll have to cross to reach your opponents’ turf.

Each team base at Camp Triggerfish is outfitted with a set of floodgates. When the gates are down, it’s easier for the other team to come and go as they please. In Turf War, the gates lower with one minute left on the clock, leading the way for late-game assaults. In Ranked Battle, they stay down so players can come and go as they please. Watch out in Tower Control! The tower’s path is almost always over water and you’ll need to show off your best squid skills to avoid getting dunked.

Starting tomorrow at 7 PM PT, Camp Triggerfish will be added to the stage rotation. Maybe after we’re done battling we can gather round the fire and sing some jaunty campfire tunes!

3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 marks the end of SEGA’s second wave of 3D Classics. Could we eventually see additional games be given the same treatment though?

For now, SEGA is saying that there are “no plans for additional SEGA 3D Classics”. But producer Producer Yosuke Okunari did tell Nintendo World Report that the company is monitoring the sales performance of the other games. He also expressed interest in working with the New 3DS.

Below are Okunari’s full comments:

If the uptake for New 3DS is very strong, I would really like to give it a shot, yes. We currently have no plans for additional SEGA 3D Classics, though. But we are keeping a close eye on how they are doing in the marketplace.

Footage has been uploaded to YouTube showing Luigi’s Mansion Arcade, which recently came to Japan. We’ve posted the video below.

In the footage, you can see the new bomb item. This can be thrown at shielded Greenies to break their defense and make them immediately susceptible to capture. It’s a bit different compared to how things were handled in Dark Moon, since Luigi usually needed to reveal them using the Dark Light first, weave his way behind it, flash it with the strobe light to make the Greenie drop its armor, and then repeat flash it again to activate the capture sequence.

Siliconera has posted its full interview with Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash assistant director Risa Tabata and series producer Kensuke Tanabe. The two teased more vehicle stages for the game, talked about the related amiibo, spoke about how the series would be “shiny” on Wii U, and left a message for fans.

You can find excerpts about these topics below. The entire interview is located on Siliconera.

Amazon has shared more information about the upcoming release of the Palutena amiibo, which is exclusive to the retailer in the United States.

Consumers can begin placing orders for Palutena at 5 PM ET / 2 PM PT this Friday. There will be a limit of 1-per customer. Additionally, 1-Click Ordering will be disabled.

Amazon says it will “have ample quantities of this amiibo”. However, the figure is still expected to sell out due to “very high” demand.

Ever since Pokken Tournament’s original announcement, there hasn’t been too much talk about bringing the game west. We’ve heard small rumblings about the possibility, but nothing too concrete. That has since changed thanks to comments from Dave & Busters senior VP Kevin Bachus.

Bachus revealed during a Reddit AMA that Dave & Busters has plans for Pokken Tournament location tests in the United States. He said:

Yes. We will be testing Pokken. Candidly both NAMCO and I are more optimistic about that title and our typical guests than Tekken.

Bachus didn’t reveal any additional information, and specifics haven’t been shared. We do at least have some sort of confirmation that Pokken Tournament is coming overseas!
