Super Mario World prototype map uncovered

Decades after the game’s original release, fans have managed to get their hands on the prototype map for Super Mario World.
You may remember the Nintendo “gigaleak” that took between 2018 and 2020. A ton of information was revealed about previously-released games, including protoypes, source code, and much more.

Fans of The Legend of Heroes series will no doubt point out that both original PSP titles Trails from Zero and now its sequel Trails to Azure have an almost legendary status amongst turn-based RPG fans. While access to these games was once difficult to attain, fan translations from The Geofront have actually led to the official English release of this duology for the very first time – showing that hard work, love, and dedication to something can truly pay off in a huge way for players. As a follow-up to The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, this entry ties up the ends to the Crossbell arc, which is lauded by some as the absolute pinnacle of the series as a whole. Nintendo and PlatinumGames on Bayonetta’s future following Origins

Nintendo and PlatinumGames have both briefly commented on the future of Bayonetta in a recent interview.
Only a few months after the debut of Bayonetta 3 – which released five years after it was announced – the series just saw the launch of another title with Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. It sounds like we could be seeing this sort of thing in the future – especially if series creator and Bayonetta Origins writer Hideki Kamiya has his way.
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ coming to Switch

Falcom’s RPG Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is heading to Switch, the company revealed today. The game is due out on June 29, 2023 in Japan.
Tokyo Xanadu eX saw its initial release in 2015. It was followed up with Tokyo Xanadu eX+, an enhanced version of the game, a year later. This marks the title’s first appearance on a Nintendo platform.

Song of Memories coming to Switch eShop next week

Publisher Future Tech Lab and developer PureWish have announced that visual novel Song of Memories will finally be arriving on Switch digitally via the eShop next week on March 23, with pre-orders now live. The game was previously cancelled back in 2019, with suggestions that a port of the title may not be possible but that options were being considered.

Disney Speedstorm release date set for April, new trailer

Disney Speedstorm finally has a release date. The racer will launch for Switch on April 12, 2023, Gameloft just announced.
Disney Speedstorm will eventually be available to everyone as a free-to-play game. However, it will initially debut in Early Access with a Founder’s Pack, Deluxe Founder’s Pack, and Ultimate Founder’s Pack priced at $30, $50, and $70 respectively.

Nintendo Switch Online adds Kirby’s Dream Land 2, BurgerTime Deluxe, Side Pocket, Xevious

A new set of games has just made its way to Nintendo Switch Online, consisting of Kirby’s Dream Land 2, BurgerTime Deluxe, Side Pocket and Xevious. As all of these games are available on the NES, SNES, or Game Boy versions of the app, they’re also playable right now without requiring a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion Pack service.
