Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was known to be receiving three rounds of DLC that ends with Rayman, but Ubisoft has now come forward with some additional information.

First up is Tower of Doooom, which is planned for early 2023. With this DLC, Madame Bwahstrella needs Mario, Rabbid Peach, and their friends to clean her multi-dimensional tower and save their old friend Spawny. It’ll add a new combat game mode in which players will face highly strategic battles as they make their way to the top of the Tower.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope review

System: Switch
Release Date: October 20, 2022
Developer: Ubisoft
Publisher: Ubisoft

Conceptually, there was really no good reason why a game as bizarre and audacious as 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle should have worked – but it did. Not only did it somehow make a crossover between Nintendo’s most iconic cast of characters and Ubisoft’s most – er, divisive – not feel completely bonkers, but it also introduced an accessible and creative take on turn-based tactics to a console that, at that point, was light on quality options. I enjoyed Kingdom Battle so thoroughly that initially, I couldn’t fathom why a sequel would need to exist. But after spending over 30 hours exploring sprawling planets and battling every foe I’ve crossed paths with, I don’t feel like it’s an exaggeration to call Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope one of Mario’s finest outings to date.

Nintendo Everything has created a series of character guides for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, looking at the best skills to acquire, party members to use with them, and Sparks to give them to maximize their potential. This is a guide for Bowser.

Octopath Traveler II is making some notable improvements over the first game, including how the protagonists have more interactions with each other. In the series’ first entry, the characters never really acknowledged each other.

Octopath Traveler II producer Masashi Takahashi and director Keisuke Miyauchi have now spoken about the approach to the main cast for the new title as part of an interview with Famitsu. Here’s what the two shared, as translated by Nintendo Everything:

Bayonetta 3 origins Hideki Kamiya PlatinumGames

PlatinumGames supervising director Hideki Kamiya and Nintendo producer Makoto Okazaki have talked about the origins of Bayonetta 3. The information comes from this week’s issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu, as the two participated in an in-depth discussion about the Switch title.

Kamiya confirmed that PlatinumGames started working on a proposal and prototype after its previous project, Scalebound, was cancelled. Nintendo was already moving forward with ports of Bayonetta 1 and 2 for Switch, and Kamiya then shared a video message which Okazaki believes “was the final push that made this game into a reality.” Meanwhile, Kamiya mentioned that he’s “forever indebted to Nintendo.”

Below are Kamiya and Okazaki’s comments about the origins of Bayonetta 3, as translated by Nintendo Everything:

After nearly five years between the initial announcement and release, Bayonetta 3 is finally here on Switch. The game won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but is undoubtedly one of the biggest titles of the year. For those that have started playing, we want to know what you think.

What are your thoughts on the game so far? How do you feel it compares to the previous two entries? Let us know in the comments below.
