Pokemon Snap joins Nintendo Switch Online next week

Pokemon Snap will be appearing on Nintendo Switch Online next week, Nintendo just announced. It will be available worldwide on June 24, 2022.
Pokemon Snap will be distributed via N64 app on Switch. In order to access it, you need to subscribe to the Expansion Pack tier of Nintendo Switch Online. The same tier provides SEGA Genesis titles as well as free access to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC, and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion.

Atari Mania announced for Switch

Atari has announced Atari Mania, a new microgame title. Switch will be getting the game later in 2022.
Atari Mania offers “a robust storyline told through a selection of 150 microgames, each incorporating beloved Atari classics from the 1970s and ‘80s golden era of gaming.” More information can be found below.

Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society coming west in early 2023

Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society, the sequel to Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, is now confirmed for the west in English following its Japanese debut last year. NIS America revealed today that the title will appear in North America and Europe in early 2023.

Switch surpasses 25 million units sold since in Japan, top five software

Switch sales have surpassed 25 million units sold in Japan, data from Famitsu has revealed. It goes without saying, but that’s based on units moved since March 3, 2017. The specific number is 25,010,404 units.
The original Switch model has obviously been around the longest, so it’s no surprise that this is what has largely contributed to the total. Here’s a breakdown of sales by model:
Rumor: Images of next Fire Emblem Switch game leaked

Earlier today, we reported on rumored details regarding the next Fire Emblem game for Switch. We heard about a few aspects such as a new character that has strange red and blue hair with a mother that’s a dragon, the ability to summon characters from previous titles, and more.
Reddit user miasmadelta has now come forward with images supposedly showing off the game. They at least back up what we heard earlier about the main character. miasmadelta also says that the summoning aspect isn’t a huge part of the game and says it’s not set in modern day.

Tetsuya Nomura says he was “very picky” with Sora’s appearance in Smash Bros. Ultimate

Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura has again discussed Sora’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, telling Game Informer that he was “very picky about his appearance”.
Although some have felt that Disney’s approval would be the major hurdle to get past, the company was all for the collaboration. Nomura, on the other hand, “thought it would be tough to pull off because it might clash with the established lore in Kingdom Hearts and the Disney worlds”. Everything worked out in the end though, and believes “the end result was really great.”
Sonic Frontiers director says the game’s combat was inspired by the Sonic movie

Sonic Frontiers director Morio Kishimoto has revealed that the game has taken inspiration from the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
Kishimoto spoke about this in a new interview with IGN. He admitted that combat was never really a focus in the series until now, “but the movie showed us an entirely new approach.” The film’s take on Sonic “became a huge inspiration for Sonic Frontiers’ development,” he said.
