Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town getting 1.1.0 update this month, surpasses one million copies worldwide

Today, Marvelous and XSEED Games announced that a new 1.1.0 update is coming to Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town this month. Players can look forward to new features and content.
The 1.1.0 update, which is going live on November 29 in North America and November 30 in Europe, is highlighted by “Spirit Quests”, which are events and challenging requests for Olive Town experts featuring rewards such as new outfits, hairstyles, farming abilities, and a mysterious ladder connecting areas of the farm. These quests can be taken on once the player triggers all existing Town Development Events and saves enough Town Development Points.
Loop Hero launches on Switch in December, new trailer

Loop Hero has secured a final release date on Switch. The old-school adventure game will launch on December 9, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Four Quarters announced today.
Loop Hero was first confirmed for Switch back in August. At the time, it had a vague holiday release window.

Nintendo and Velan Studios have just started distribution of a new 2.0.0 update for Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. This comes a year following the game’s launch.
New features and content have come to the game. As one of the major highlights, players can connect two karts to one Switch system for split-screen multiplayer or play any Grand Prix cup with 2-4 players in the new Relay Race multiplayer mode. Additionally, Luigi Cup has been added with three new tracks: Windmill Meadows, Music Broadway, and King Boo’s Courtyard. Those that come within third place here will be able to unlock the new Poltergust G-00 kart and Spooky Horn.

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Remastered announced for Switch

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Remastered is coming to Switch and will launch on December 8, Skunkape Games announced today.
The studio indicated around this time last year that it was working on updated versions of Sam & Max season 2 and 3. That should mean that we’ll be seeing The Devil’s Playhouse on Switch down the road as well. Sam & Max Save the World (season 1) made it to Switch last December.

With each new year, we witness more companies capitalizing on their own legacies, bringing remasters and remakes of acclaimed games to the market. 2021, of course, was no different. On Switch in particular, there was a huge influx of old games and remasters with a new coat of paint. However, many of them were met with fan criticism in one way or another, with some players disappointed with the final product delivered by some big publishers.
In a new video today, I decided to take a closer look at three Switch remasters: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. We analyze the different approaches, the problems, and how they ended up like this. You can watch the full video below.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens has been on Switch for well over a year now, but WayForward just announced a major “Spectacular Superstar” update for the game.
Several new features will be added with the patch. It comes with Definitive Mode, Full Deck Mode, Rule Breaker Mode, and Beginner Mode. We have some additional information about the “Spectacular Superstar” update for Shantae and the Seven Sirens below.
The Game Awards 2021 nominees announced

The Game Awards 2021 will be taking place in just a few weeks, and nominees for all of the big categories have now been revealed. Around 30 winners will be decided early next month.
The big prize is Game of the Year, and Nintendo will be happy to see that Metroid Dread has been nominated alongside Deathloop, It Takes Two, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Resident Evil Village.
