Capcom is slowly starting to put more games on Switch. Mega Man 11 was announced, along with Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 plus all of the Mega Man X titles. We also just found out yesterday that Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection drops in May.

As for what’s next for Switch, Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto shared another tease in an interview with Nikkei. Tsujimoto mentioned that the home / portable console concept works better than expected and the company is interested in porting games that weren’t available on Nintendo consoles previously.

Tsujimoto also recently teased that Ace Attorney on Switch. He did not share the specifics of what’s planned, however.

Capcom has announced Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, and it’s coming to Switch.

Mega Man 11

Announced earlier in the week, Mega Man 11 is in development, and is heading to Switch in late 2018. It’s been seven years since the last entry in the series. It was way back in 2010 when Mega Man 10 landed on WiiWare.

In this month’s issue of Game Informer, Mega Man 11 producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya spoke about the long wait for a new Mega Man. Part of the problem was when Keiji Inafune left. Mega Man was something Inafune championed and he led the franchise, so after his departure from Capcom, a bit of a hole was left behind.

Yoshiaki Koizumi talked a whole lot about Super Mario Odyssey in a recent interview of 4Gamer. But towards the end of the interview, there was some general talk about Switch as well. Koizumi was not only the producer of Mario Odyssey, but also Nintendo’s latest console on the whole.

As the general producer of Switch, Koizumi thought sales have progressed faster than thought, since he assumed it would take about one or two years for the concept to permeate by having players bring the console outside to introduce it to others. But since it has spread so quickly, he believed they have conveyed it in the right way.

Just like that, The Game Awards have come and gone. All of the winners have been chosen, and many announcements were made along the way. Nintendo played a very big part in it all.

To get things started, The Champions’ Ballad DLC was properly unveiled for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If that wasn’t enough, it launched right after The Game Awards ended.

Earlier in the year, Nintendo revealed that the hookshot was scrapped from Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The hookshot has previously appeared in a number of Zelda games, but didn’t make it in for the Switch and Wii U title.

Nintendo spoke more about the hookshot in Zelda: Breath of the Wild and why it wasn’t a fit as part of a new interview with IGN. Series producer Eiji Aonuma started out with the following:

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses has been touring around the world for the past five years. In 2018, the concert will be taking a bit of a break.

You may have noticed that no tour dates have been announced for next year. With 2017 almost coming to an end, we found that a bit odd. We reached out to the folks involved with Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, and were told by a representative that the there are no plans to tour in 2018 at this time.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a special treat for those who clear the game’s new DLC. After completing The Champions’ Ballad, players will be rewarded with the Master Cycle Zero. Yes, Link can ride through Hyrule on a motorcycle.

At The Game Awards on Thursday night, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi spoke more about the DLC. The two developers explained how the Master Cycle Zero came to be, and also discussed the new horse gear.

Splatoon 2 is getting an update later this month that introduces a new Ranked Battle mode called Clam Blitz. But aside from that, version 2.1.0 drops next week, and it is fairly substantial.

Nintendo is implementing changes to multiplayer, Salmon Run, Spectator Mode, and more. Among what will be affected are various stages. Some are being changed more than others.

Below are the full patch notes:
