This week’s North American Nintendo Downloads are as follows:

Switch Retail

Fire Emblem Warriors – $59.99 (available October 20)
Just Dance 2018 – $59.99 (available October 24)
Syberia – $29.99 (available October 20)

NPD will be issuing data from the September 2017 report later today. However, Nintendo has already come out with some information to highlight its strong performance.

In September, Switch was the top-selling current-gen hardware in the United States. It’s the third month in the row for the console and the fifth time overall in the seven months since launch. Sales for Switch are now at over two million units in the US alone.

A Reddit user by the name of IronMadden has posted a screenshot showing that Vblank is delaying Retro City Rampage DX: Collector’s Edition. Emails from Vblank have been sent out about the physical versions of Retro City Rampage DX saying that the Standard Editions of the game are ready to ship tomorrow, but the Collector’s Editions are being delayed for at least a week. As an apology for the delay there will be four alternate covers included with the Collector’s Edition of the game as a bonus.

The Switch itself received a major update today, but it wasn’t the only thing on the console to be patched. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has also been updated and is now at version 1.3.0.

Today’s update enables video capture compatibility and makes other adjustments, such as Blue Shells no longer hitting the second place player when the first place player hasn’t yet crossed the finish line. We’ve included the full patch notes below.

Nintendo Switch

A major system update is now available for Switch. Nintendo just issued version 4.0.0.

Among what was added today, Switch users can capture video for “select games”. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 are currently supported. It’s also only possible to capture up to 30 seconds of gameplay.

Warner Bros. may never say it officially, but LEGO Dimensions looks to be done. What’s naturally apparent with the title as well as what developer TT Games recently said internally suggests that it will not be receiving any new content. In other words, plans for LEGO Dimensions’ third year have been scrapped.

We all know about the fate of other games like Disney Infinity and Skylanders. Eurogamer points out various issues such as how there was little room for profit, a slowdown of sales, and the huge workload required from TT Games.

In North America, the game is slated for November 21. The European release will take place on November 23.

We have a new trailer for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney on 3DS below.

Update 2: The Spring Man-esque character will intrude in Grand Prix if you are fighting through with good results in higher than level 4 difficulty. Here are some screenshots:

Update: Full patch notes added below. Along with badges and recent replays, Nintendo also says that there is “an interloper who has been disrupting the Grand Prix, going after our fiercest competitors.” Issues fixed, and adjustments made to fighters and ARMS as well.

Original: ARMS’ latest update has gone live. Nintendo has started distribution of version 3.2.0 around the world.

We don’t have the full patch notes just yet, but this update should be fairly substantial. Badges have been added as well as a replay list. Nintendo also previously teased some sort of character who looks a lot like Spring Man.

Stay tuned for further details.

Nintendo just put out a new Mario Party: The Top 100 trailer highlighting the different game modes and amiibo support. See the video below.
