Koei Tecmo has updated the official English website of Attack on Titan 2, elaborating on what was revealed in Famitsu magazine earlier this week. First up are some biographies for the newly revealed playable characters:
Dot Pyxis
The Commander of the Garrison Regiment. Highly trusted by Premier Zachary, he was given full authority in defending humanity’s most vital lands in the southern territories. Although he displays remarkable adaptability and the qualities of a strong leader, his open-ended thinking that at times borders on the extreme earned him a reputation as a “natural eccentric”. This reputation is further complemented by his unrivaled love for a drink. It is well-known that he carries his flask everywhere, even while delivering commands on the front lines.

Switch is the fastest-selling console of all time in France, other tidbits and sales data
Posted on 6 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in General Nintendo, News | 7 Comments
Yesterday, we reported on the Switch’s success in Italy, where the Switch sold faster than the Wii in its first 10 months on the market. Today, we have a similar success story from France.
Speaking with Les Numériques, Nintendo of France General Manager Philippe Lavoué has revealed some concrete sales numbers for Switch hardware and software in 2o17. In October, Lavoué stated that Nintendo’s goal was to sell a total of 800,000 Switch consoles in France in 2017. That goal has been reached pretty comfortably – the Switch has sold a total of 911,000 units in France last year. Not only does this mean that the Switch has surpassed the Wii U’s lifetime sales in France, but it also makes it the fastest-selling console of all time. Previously, that record was held by the Wii with 703,000 units.
Japan seems to be suffering from a Switch software shortage
Posted on 6 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch | 10 Comments
Pretty much all throughout 2017, the Switch was very hard to come by due to its popularity. These hardware shortages were especially bad in Japan, although Nintendo’s home country received a fairly major restock in December, causing Switch hardware sales to rise. However, it seems like this seems to have shifted the shortage problem to the other side of the market – it seems that certain Switch games are now hard to come by.
Japanese video game retailer GEO reports that first-party games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2-Switch are completely out of stock at all of its distribution centers nationwide and they are currently unable to order any additional units from Nintendo. It’s a similar situation at other retailers like Amazon Japan, where many first-party games are also out of stock.
Naturally, a software shortage is not as bad as a hardware shortage – all games can of course also be purchased digitally, but it would still be in Nintendo’s best interest to fix this shortage as soon as possible.

Cube Creator X: First gameplay video, details on Home World, avatar customization, more
Posted on 6 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch, Videos | 1 Comment
Arc System Works has released some information on Cube Creator X for the Switch via their Japanese website; the folks at Gematsu have kindly translated this new info:
Gameplay modes
Essentially, there will be three distinct modes in the game: Adventure Mode, which features a variety of gameplay elements including exploration, combat and communication, Creative Mode, where you can build up an original world at your own pace and Stage Builder Mode, in which you can use gimmick cubes to create unique stages.
Home World
Home World is a new addition to Adventure Mode in this game. It is a sort of hub world from which you can travel to other worlds. There are no enemies here, so you freely customize it, have conversations with citizens, buy items and more.
Evolved Systems
There are three times as many cube types in this game compared to Cube Creator 3D. Also, systems such as height, weight, heat and weather have been added.
Avatar Customization
Avatar customization has been improved and offers more options than ever before, so you can easily create an avatar that suits you.
Finally, there’s also a first gameplay video to be found on the game’s website, sadly without sound though:
