Steve Alex amiibo Smash Bros. Ultimate

Today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation for the reveal of Sora contained a small update on amiibo, and specifically for Steve and Alex from Minecraft. Yes, two separate figures will be produced. Both are planned for Spring 2022.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is done with its DLC fighters, but more amiibo will be released well into the future. Min Min, which we heard about previously, is due out in Spring 2022 as well.

Beyond that director Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed has also confirmed that Sephiroth, Pyra, Mythra, and Kazuya will be receiving figures. There’s no word on release timing at present.

Square Enix is bringing all of the Kingdom Hearts games to Switch as cloud titles, it’s been revealed. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai delivered today’s news in his presentation today announcing Sora for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix Cloud Version, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Cloud Version, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind Cloud Version will all be released. There is currently no word on launch timing.

Last September, Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura said that the company had considered porting the Kingdom Hearts games to Switch. However, the company found it to be technically challenging. While we won’t be seeing these titles running natively, the cloud versions will at least be an option for owners of Nintendo’s console.

Sora from Kingdom Hearts is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a new DLC character, Nintendo has just announced. This will be the final participant in Fighters Pass Vol. 2. It will be going live on October 18.

Sora won’t just be a standalone character. Like all other DLC, a new stage, music, and spirits will be included.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai revealed the latest set of Mii Fighter costumes during a presentation today, including Octoling (Wig) and Judd (Hat) from Splatoon and Doom Slayer (Gunner) from Doom. This will be the last batch added to the game.

Many games and franchises have been represented in Mii Fighter form over the past few years. Undertale, Cuphead, No More Heroes, Assassin’s Creed, and Super Mario RPG are among the titles that have appeared.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Switch gameplay

First Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl gameplay has now arrived that shows off the title running on Switch. GameMill, Ludosity, and Fair Play Labs just released the title today.

The final “Mr. Sakurai Presents” presentation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is almost here, and we have a live stream for the proceedings. You’ll be able to tune in starting at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

Nintendo announced a couple of weeks ago that the last DLC fighter for the game would be revealed today. Director Masahiro Sakurai will now share the news and share an in-depth look at the character in his today’s broadcast. We should be getting a bit of other news as well, including the next wave of Mii Fighter costumes.

TGS 2022 date

TGS 2022 (Tokyo Game Show) already have a date and is confirmed to take place between September 15 and September 18, 2022, show organizers announced today. It is tentatively planned to be held at the Makuhari Messe per usual. Beyond that, further information has not been provided. That’s hardly surprising given how it’s a year out.

TGS 2021 just took place last week. It was held later than normal as we’re typically used to seeing it happen during the middle of September. While TGS 2020 was all digital due to the pandemic, this year’s event opened things up a bit with an online and digital mix.

Fire Emblem Heroes Shared Bounty

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced a new Shared Bounty event for the mobile game Fire Emblem Heroes. It will be going live in just a few days.

The upcoming event will feature Robin: Fall Reincarnation (Fire Emblem Awakening, voiced by David Vincent, art by Okuma Yugo), Rhea: Witch of Creation (from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, voiced by Cherami Leigh, art by ichikawa Halu), Kurthnaga: Autumn Goldoan (from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, voiced by Brandon Winckler, art by hou), and Sothis: Bound-Spirit Duo (from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris and Zach Aguilar, art by azu-taro). A new Paralogue Story is also planned.

Atlus has returned with another demon trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, which has offered up a look at Hecatoncheir. The demon first appeared in Shin Megami Tensei II. It would later appear in many additional entries in the franchise, including Persona titles.
