The rogue-like dungeon crawler Hades has earned a great deal of praise and attention since its proper launch back in September. One of the aspects players have focused on are the characters, which have spawned plenty of fan art.
Greg Kasavin, who’s behind Hades’ writing and design, spoke about the response to the game’s characters in a previous issue of EDGE. He had this to say on that topic:

NERD, otherwise known as Nintendo European Research & Development, has worked on some interesting projects over the years. The division has been involved with the DS Virtual Console for Wii U, the New 3DS’ super stable 3D, emulators for the NES and SNES Classic Editions, and more.
Most recently, NERD contributed to Super Mario 3D All-Stars. A notice on the official website mentions how its own GameCube emulation technology was used as well as a “deep learning engine” to upgrade Super Mario Sunshine’s in-game videos to HD. For Super Mario Galaxy, NERD offered “graphics and audio emulation technologies.”

Vicarious Visions handling Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 on Switch
Posted on 3 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was previously rumored for Switch, and Activision finally confirmed the news last month. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but we can at least rest easy knowing that the port is on the way.
Vicarious Visions developed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 originally and the release was very well-received. However, the studio became a part of Blizzard in January. Some fans have been wondering who is responsible for the Switch port as a result. Fortunately, we’re hearing that despite Vicarious Visions having been merged into Blizzard, they’re still handling the new versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 – so the Switch version should still be in very good hands.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 launches for Switch later in 2021. You can see how the game is shaping up on Nintendo’s console here.
Thanks to Jake for the tip.
