Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze’s debut sales on Switch in the UK were 53.7% higher than Wii U

It’s unclear just how much Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze sold during its first week in the UK. However, we do know that it was towards the top of the charts.
GamesIndustry adds that the new Switch version “already accounts for nearly 17% of the total number of copies the game has sold in the UK (physical units only). Week one sales of the Switch version were 53.7% higher than week one sales of the Wii U version (although Switch does have a considerably higher install base).”
We should have an idea as to how Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze performed on Switch in Japan this week. As for the US, we’ll need to wait for next month’s NPD report.

Ubisoft has identified a couple of issues with the Switch version of South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
Probably the more damaging of the two, some users have encountered a bug in which their profile has been reset, affecting the autosave file. Also an issue is an infinite loading screen that can appear during the “You Can Call on Me” mission.
The good news is that Ubisoft is currently working on a patch that should address both problems. The company is also offering some temporary advice for the autosave file issue. You can read that below along with Ubisoft’s full statement.

Nintendo is starting to share new details about the full launch of the Nintendo Switch Online service. A big highlight, not known about previously, is the addition of cloud saves.
For those who subscribe to the service, saves will be stored online. If your system breaks or you purchase a new unit, that means you’ll be able to easily regain your saves. There will be some exceptions, but it seems as though almost every title will be included.
Nintendo Switch Online will have its proper launch in September.
