Sonic Mania Plus

SEGA announced just a few minutes ago that Sonic Mania Plus is arriving on July 17 in North America and Europe. It’s a new version of last year’s game with playable characters Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel and an Encore mode that provides a fresh look at familiar zones with new challenges and layouts. Competition and Time Attack modes have also been updated for four player competitions, and ghost challenges for time trials.

If you previously purchased Sonic Mania last year and have no interest in the new physical version, you’ll be happy to hear that you can still experience the new content. SEGA has confirmed that an Encore DLC pack will be available for $4.99 (£3.99) to upgrade to Sonic Mania Plus. It’ll be out alongside the new physical release in July.

We have some new screenshots from Sonic Mania Plus below.

Here’s some additional information about Sonic Mania Plus:

Deemo Nintendo Labo

Rayark is exploring the possibility of supporting Rayark with Nintendo Labo, the studio teased today. The company posted a video on YouTube of what is apparently a “tech demo.”

Here’s a look at what Rayark is toying around with regarding Deemo and Nintendo Labo:

Rayark says if it has plans to officially support Nintendo Labo, it will make an announcement via social media later.

Death Road to Canada

Ukiyo Publishing delayed the release of Death Road to Canada due to the events that took place earlier this week in Canada. A new date wasn’t announced, but the company intends to share one soon.

A listing on the North American eShop may have that news early. If the game’s official page is to be believed, we’ll now be seeing Death Road to Canada on May 15.

We don’t want to say that this date is confirmed, especially given how Death Road to Canada’s launch date was already listed inaccurately once before. Still, if anything changes, we’ll let you know.
