SEGA’s classic Streets of Rage series is seeing a revival with Streets of Rage 4, Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games and Dotemu have announced. A release date and platforms have not been confirmed as of yet.

Typically we hold off on news about brand new titles unless we receive confirmation about it being bound for a Nintendo system. However, given the companies involved here, we do believe a Switch release will happen. This game comes from Dotemu and Lizardcube – the publisher and developer of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap respectively. Considering how well that title did on the eShop, it seems certain that Streets of Rage 4 will be on Switch.

Blossom Tales publisher FDG Entertainment has provided an update on the game’s strong performance on Switch. According to the company, sales on Nintendo’s platform have now surpassed Steam sales by a factor of 20.

FDG previously said that Blossom Tales sold double the amount of units on Switch launch day compared to lifetime sales on Steam. In March, we heard that Switch surpassed Steam lifetime revenue by 20x.

Blaster Master Zero

A new rating for Blaster Master Zero has popped up on the ESRB. Rather than Inti Creates, Nicalis is listed as the game’s publisher. You know what that means: Blaster Master Zero is very likely getting a physical release.

Assuming the title does go physical, one logical possibility is that all DLC characters will be included. Nicalis will likely pack in some extra goodies as well.

In Spain, a State of Mind Special Edition has been released. It includes the game, a book showing off the world, soundtrack CD, keychain, sticker, set of postcards, and special box. We have an unboxing video from Avance below.

Nintendo has posted another update to the Smash Bros. Blog for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, we have an introduction to Ness.

Here’s the overview:

Yo-kai Watch Blasters is finally making its western debut next month. To prepare for launch, Nintendo has started pre-loading for the digital version.

Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps takes up 13,653 blocks of space, which amounts to 1.67GB. You’ll need 13,656 blocks – again 1.67GB – for the White Dog Squad version.

Nintendo will publish Yo-kai Watch Blasters in the west on September 7.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is still at the third position while Persona Q2 is back in the top five.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between August 2 and August 8.

SEGA Ages was originally intended to begin on Switch this month. The first two titles, Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunder Force IV, were slated to release by the end of this coming week.

Unfortunately, those plans have changed. SEGA said on Twitter that the two titles will now arrive in September to further improve their quality.

That means SEGA Ages should start on Switch in September with three titles. Along with Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunder Force IV, Phantasy Star was recently announced for next month as well.
