The Neo Geo games from Hamster’s Arcade Archives series weren’t in the best of shape when they initially launched on Switch. Players reported issues with the sound, but even more significant were problems relating to brightness.

It didn’t take long for Hamster to address the situation thankfully. All of its Neo Geo games received patches a few days ago to remedy things. You can see just how big of an improvement was made with the video below.

It was at The Game Awards 2014 when Nintendo gave a first look at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. With so much time having passed since then, GameXplain thought it would be worthwhile to see how the world has changed since then.

As far as the map goes, what Nintendo demonstrated a few years ago still holds true today. There are definitely some differences, but the overall layouts are very similar. GameXplain also managed to find most of the same locations shown at The Game Awards and this is where we can really begin to see how certain parts were reworked.

Pokemon developer Game Freak is currently searching for a motion modeler. The company is trying to find someone who has experience making models on the level of Wii U and PlayStation Vita, and experience with the computer program Maya is required.

Game Freak cites the following as bonuses:

– Experience in deciding character model specifications
– Experience in managing progress of character models
– Experience in producing deformed characters
– Experience in producing monster models

The modeler will be asked to work on creating character models for an unspecified consumer game development project. Among other things, they’ll be asked to produce models of characters, monsters and items, and deformed materials with toon rendering. The position with Game Freak is on a contract basis and can lead up until May 2018.

Before Switch was announced, rumors persisted of a third Pokemon entry to accompany Pokemon Sun/Moon on Nintendo’s system. No announcement has been made, but if it exists, perhaps this job listing could be related.

A decade ago, Corey Bunnell made a post on TranslatorsCafe about spending a good portion of his senior year in high school as an exchange student. He was able to live in Japan, and it sounds like it was a great experience. He later wrote about how his “dream is to live in Japan and work for Nintendo as a game designer.”

Fast-forward to 2017. Nintendo just shipped The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild earlier this month. Towards the beginning of the game’s credits, almost every name is Japanese… except for one. In the “Wildlife Programming” section, one English name can be seen. Yup, it’s “Corey Bunnell”.

Update: Before anyone jumps to conclusions about Switch receiving a cloud save system, the validity of Patsuann’s video and claims have been brought into question. It seems that any user can see that icon and is for Zelda’s patch rather than save data.

Original: Reddit user Patsuann was experiencing issues with his new Switch system, prompting it to be sent in for repairs. Upon receiving it back from Nintendo, save data for Zelda: Breath of the Wild was missing. That’s not where the story ends though. Fortunately, everything turned out just fine.

Patsuann came across a mysterious cloud icon on the Home Menu. After selecting it, a message appeared with the ability to download old save data. This is the same data Patsuann had prior to sending in his system. Once the download process finished, Patsuann’s old save was present.

Circle Entertainment has long been teasing the western version of SubaraCity. Starting next week, it will begin to release.

Circle wrote on Twitter yesterday that SubaraCity has been nailed down for March 23 in Europe and Australia. Although there’s no news yet for North America, we’re expecting it sometime within the next few weeks.

As Monster Hunter XX launches in Japan, Capcom is revealing yet another collaboration for the game. A partnership with Gudetama – one of Sanrio’s characters – has been announced as DLC.

Like other collaborations, this has the usual content. Players can take on quest and receive equipment like armor and weapons that tie into Gudetama.

Super Mario Run is heading to Android on March 23. On the same day, Nintendo will also come out with a major update for the game. Players can look forward to version 2.0.0.

The new update “will introduce some new features”. A notice in the app teases new characters to play as along with the ability to unlock World 1-4 in the free version of the game by completing one of Bowser’s challenges.

Nintendo says that there’s more to the update than what’s been announced, but we’ll need to wait for additional details.

Konami brought out a significant Super Bomberman R patch this week. Once applied, you’ll see that the game has been bumped up to version 1.2.

The patch makes notable improvements to the controls. Along with fixing the inputs, Konami made it so online lag is reduced.
