The Ace Attorney anime finally debuted a few hours ago. Now the question is, how long will it run for?

A comment from Capcom’s Shu Takumi indicates that the Ace Attorney anime will be around for half a year. That probably means we can count on a little over 20 episodes.

Here’s a promo video for the second Ace Attorney anime episode by the way:

Mercenary Kings, Tribute Games’ side-scrolling shoot ’em up, never made its way to Wii U. A port to the console was ruled out in September 2013, several months before the game came out.

Could Mercenary Kings end up on Nintendo’s next core system though? Tribute Games co-founder Jean-Francois Major expressed interest in the possibility when conversing with one fan on Twitter.

He said:

Major did tell us back in 2013 that as former Game Boy Advance developers, Tribute Games “would love to go back on Nintendo consoles at some point.” Maybe that could happen with NX.

Thanks to Dry Bone Koopa for the tip.

Nintendo UK has kicked off a new marketing campaign that focuses on adventure games for 3DS. Hyrule Warriors Legends, Bravely Second, and Fire Emblem Fates are just some of the titles that are featured.

Chandra Nair, marketing manager of Nintendo UK, spoke with MCV this week about the initiviate. He says it’ll be a “stellar year for RPG adventure fans” on the 3DS. And as far as the system in general, Nair believes “RPG adventure fans will look back on Nintendo 3DS as having one of the best line-ups of all time.”

Nair’s words in full:

“It might be late in the Nintendo 3DS’ life cycle, but 2016 looks like it’ll be another stellar year for RPG adventure fans with an unparalleled and exclusive line-up spanning from January through to December. I think in years to come RPG adventure fans will look back on Nintendo 3DS as having one of the best line-ups of all time. And we’re celebrating it right now.”

A new Bloodstained development update video was shared yesterday as part of a post on the game’s Kickstarter. It starts off by showing the katana animation, and then highlights a “grid” map used to test different aspects of the project.

Here’s the full video:

And Koji Igarashi’s explanation of it:

Hi, everyone! This month we’d like to show you something that few people outside the development team ever get to see: A work-in-progress “grid” map that we’re using to test stage size, scrolling mechanics, enemy placement, and more. I’ve provided some narration to make it easier to see where we’re making progress.

We’re also revealing the katana animation. To provide our animators a reference for the motion, the team filmed me swinging an umbrella. Days after the video shoot I still had some muscle pain, but let’s please keep that between us…
