We’ll have NPD’s official list of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of April in a bit. However, some preliminary information has arrived just a tad early.

GamesBeat reports that Star Fox Zero and Bravely Second were among April’s best-sellers. The two came in at the fifth and ninth spots respectively on the individual chart. This is different from NPD’s overall top 10 (we’ll have that shortly), which combines platforms and other items such as special editions. In that list though, Star Fox Zero does appear at the tenth spot.

Armikrog originally launched last September, but we haven’t heard too much about the Wii U version. Yet despite the lack of updates, the developer is still working with Nintendo’s console, and said in a recent Kickstarter update that “Wii U development is going great.”

Pencil Test Studios mentioned the following:

Overall the Wii U development is going great. We’re still working out a few technical issues resulting from the conversion of the game from PC to the console, but the main focus has been on getting the controls to work smoothly. We’re also updating some artwork to improve the look and allow things to run more efficiently on the Wii U. We don’t have a release date yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

When there’s more news about Armikrog on Wii U, we’ll have it right here on the site.

This week’s issue of Famitsu once again has a sizable update on Etrian Odyssey V. The magazine goes over character creation, job change, facilities, and Master Skills. We’ve summarized all of the information below.

Character Creation

With this game’s character creation features, first you choose the desired race, then their job and looks. You can customize the hair, eye and skin colors. The ‘jobless’ race illustrations can also be used for the character’s looks.

Update 2: Now available for pre-order at GameStop here.

Update: While North America’s system will be blue, the one for Europe is red:

Geoff Keighley kicked off The Game Awards a couple of years ago, and another show will be produced towards the end of this year. In addition to that, Keighley will now be producing the Kids’ Game Awards.

Variety shares the following information about it:

In October, DreamWorksTV, the kid-focused multichannel network that AwesomenessTV launched in 2014, will stage the Kids’ Game Awards, an interactive, all-digital show that will let viewers vote on their favorite video games (in the vein of Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards). The Kids’ Game Awards show will feature special appearances by celebrities, gamers, digital influencers and musical guests. For the Kids’ Game Awards, led by producer Geoff Keighley, AwesomenessTV has also lined up an advisory board that includes Activision, Nintendo and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

We should be hearing more about the Kids’ Game Awards – as well as The Game Awards – in the months ahead.
