Tatsuya Minami has stepped down as president from PlatinumGames, according to a Japanese report from Game Business. Minami departed from the company in March.

Game Business states that Kenichi Sato has taken over Minami’s role. Additionally, Atsushi Inaba and Seigo Tabira are joining Platinum’s board, having previously worked in developer support.

It’s unclear if Minami has left PlatinumGames entirely, or has simply stepped down from his role.

In Japan, a pretty big update has been released for the arcade game Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. This adds new courses such as Pac-Man Stadium and Namco Circuit while also improving the user interface and making the versus mode more enjoyable.

First, below are details on Pac-Man Stadium and Namco Circuit:

Pac-Man Stadium

A course glittering with neons, with the Pacman statue leaving the most impressions. It’s a technical course with many sharp curves. In order to progress smoothly, players will need to memorize the order of curves, and spin the handle in a rhythmical pattern accordingly.

Namco Circuit

A circuit that looks like a history museum of Namco games. There are many straight lines and loose curves, making it a course with high-speed battles. Use the acceleration area gimmicks well to instantly widen the gap against rivals.

We’re just about done with our Star Fox Zero video coverage at this point, but we do have two more clips for you. Get a look at our final batch of footage below.

Those in Japan can now purchase a new 3DS theme based on Star Fox Zero. You can see what it looks like below.

We haven’t heard about this theme heading west, but I imagine it’ll pop up in North America and Europe soon!

Capcom has prepared a new weekly update for Ace Attorney 6. Today, information and screenshots were sent out for Multi-Angle Video Identification.

– Two videos showcasing camera footage of two different perspectives of the same scene are displayed
– There’s something out of place
– Compare the two videos of the same scene and try and find an inconsistency.
– Fast forward, rewind, and pause controls on the bottom screen
– Also a button to switch between videos on the touch screen
– Can advance by frames
– Check the same areas in each video to locate an inconsistency

Good news, Runbow fans: there’s still more content in the pipeline. 13AM Games’ Tom McCall told Toronto GameDevs in an interview that the team is “not done” with the game just yet. He added: “Keep your eyes and ears peeled, we hope to have some exciting announcements soon.”

Runbow became a Wii U eShop hit last August. 13AM Games just came out with some substantial DLC for the title last week.
