An art book for Bravely Second is going on sale later this week. Fans can get their hands on “Bravely Second Design Works: The Art of Bravely 2013-2015” starting on May 21. Pricing is set at 3,240 yen.

Nintendo has confirmed to IGN that president and CEO Satoru Iwata will not be attending E3 2015 this year. However, Shigeru Miyaomto and other developers will be on hand at next month’s expo.

In a statement, Nintendo said:

Nintendo’s focus for E3 this year will be showcasing the many games we have coming for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Mr. Miyamoto and other members of our development team will be in Los Angeles to explain these games and the unique experiences that each offers. Mr. Iwata’s focus in this period will be on other areas of our business that require his presence in Japan.

Nintendo also said that Iwata will be in “constant contact” with the away team in Los Angeles. He’ll also be monitoring the reaction to Nintendo’s announcements.

You may recall that Iwata skipped last year’s E3 as well. That was in large part due to health issues he was experiencing at the time.

Perfect Dark Zero ended up on the Xbox 360, but that wasn’t always the plan. Rare was initially developing the title for GameCube before Nintendo sold off the studio to Microsoft.

Unseen64 shared a video today that shows concept art from a prototype Perfect Dark Zero build via an art gallery. It gives us a look at the different sort of art style Rare was originally toying around with during the GameCube era – something more cartoony and Japanese manga-inspired at one point. Take a look at the video below.

A few mysterious listings have appeared in Best Buy’s system. The retailer now has “Dummy SKUs” entries for various platforms, including Wii U and 3DS. These all are E3-related, so I assume pre-orders for these unknown games will kick off during the event next month.

SEGA was once developing Initial D EX for the DS. Unseen64 reports that the company’s “Rosso” department was working on the street racing game back in 2007/2008.

Interestingly, Initial D EX was never actually announced. We only know of its existence thanks to a few images that briefly appeared on the SEGA Rosso website.
