Collavier talks about why Comic Workshop Miiverse screenshots were disabled
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 10 Comments
Yesterday, Collavier announced that screenshot sharing functionality will be returning to Comic Workshop through an upcoming patch. The update makes it possible to post images to Miiverse.
Collavier has now sent out a comprehensive follow-up, revealing that adding screenshots to Miiverse was never initially planned to be available. The company also talked about what’s changed to allow for the feature.
You can find Collavier’s full comments below.
Who am I?
My name is Jeremy and I’m taking care of international relations for Collavier on top of being a programmer. The same Jeremy you can see on Miiverse!
What happened with the community?
Firstly, you should know that posting screenshots to Miiverse for Comic Workshop never was planned to be available. The few days of authorized screenshot posting at the software’s release were a mistake.
With the Workshop Gallery (dedicated website for Comic & Painting Workshop) being quite popular in Japan, we’d hope western users would use it as well.

Potential console port of A Hat in Time in the works, technical issues encountered
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 7 Comments
A Hat in Time has long been speculated as a potential game for the Wii U eShop. While Gears for Breakfast has now started work on a console port, the developer is encountering various issues.
All problems are technical related, as A Hat in Time is suffering from elements like a low frame rate and incorrect rendering of geometry. The game is built in Unreal Engine 3 and this is supported on consoles, but the engine hasn’t been updated for quite some time and Gears for Breakfast has needed to apply “some major fixes to even get it running in the first place.”
Gears for Breakfast isn’t dropping the idea of bringing A Hat in Time to consoles, and work will continue on a potential port. There are various options being considered, such as hiring more people/an external team to port the title.
