Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is a little less than a week away from its North American launch on 3DS. To prepare fans, WayForward shared the game’s size over on Twitter. Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will take up 2,315 blocks of space.

Atlus officially confirms Shin Megami Tensei IV’s European release for October 30

Atlus has made Shin Megami Tensei IV’s European release date official. As reported earlier today, the game will arrive on October 30. It will cost €19.99 / £17.99.
Atlus intends to make Shin Megami Tensei IV’s DLC available “over time in the month following launch.” This includes armor and customization packs, afterlife stages to help boost earning experience, money and more, and end-game items that adds new standalone content.

Update: In turns out that Nintendo’s listing is inaccurate, which is somewhat of a surprise! It’s one of the rare times as of late that a game page has included an incorrect date. However, a final release date will be announced next week.
Pier Solar HD is coming to the North American Wii U eShop next week, a listing on Nintendo’s website reveals. Watermelon will bring its game out on October 23. Pricing is set at $14.99.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sold through 85% of its initial shipment

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sold nearly 1.5 million copies during its Japanese launch. Media Create reports that 85.40 percent of copies were sold.
How does that stack up to the original Monster Hunter 4? That title sold 1,715,060 copies with a 91.96 percent sell-through rate. 4 Ultimate managed to sell roughly 80 percent of what its predecessor did at launch.
Media Create believes that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate won’t sell two million copies at retail until its third week or later. Meanwhile, the first Monster Hunter 4 reached 2,188,799 copies sold after two weeks.

Nintendo sold 19,000 New 3DS face plates for the Japanese launch

It was revealed earlier this week that the New 3DS sold over 200,000 units for its Japanese launch. Media Create provides a bit more insight with some tidbits about the performance of the face plates.
According to Media Create, roughly 19,000 face plates were sold at launch. Popular face plates include the two Monster Hunter ones, Yoshi face plate, and the wood grain face plate (#24).

Prior to Pokken Tournament’s announcement, many gamers assumed that the title would be confirmed for Wii U. That didn’t happen though, as it’s only for arcades at present.
