It’s a double dose of Nintendo title updates tonight. In addition to Steel Diver: Sub Wars, Wii Fit U has received a new patch of its own.
Here’s what’s new in version 1.2.0:
- Users that have a Fit Meter registered can now access their own data immediately after starting Wii Fit U from the Fit Meter transfer screen.
- Users can now post their Fit Meter activity screen to Miiverse after starting Miiverse from the Home Menu.
- At the Piggy Bank screen, after transitioning from the Fit Meter, users can now display the consumed calorie value that was just transferred.
- An error was resolved that could cause miscalculation of “Fit Meter Challenge” data if it was transferred from the Fit Meter at the exact time the date changes.

In its monthly NPD response, Nintendo revealed that Wii U sales increased by 25 percent in February compared to the year prior. That statistic allows us to determine a rough estimate of the number of consoles the company sold across the US last month.
So how much did the Wii U sell? About 82,000, based on the calculation. That’s not a whole lot, but Nintendo seems to be pleased that sales are up as a whole.

Kojima wants Snake in the new Smash Bros., but it’s not likely to happen
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 69 Comments
Don’t count on seeing Snake in the new Super Smash Bros. games.
Hideo Kojima briefly touched on the possibility of the character returning for the Wii U and 3DS titles during a live-stream event held earlier today. He essentially shot down the idea, noting that he doesn’t think it’s likely to happen.
Kojima’s comments in full:
I’m not working on that game so I don’t know, but I don’t think that’s likely. I don’t know. Well if Mr. Sakurai is watching this, please use Snake.
