NYXI Wizard

A number of third-parties have created their own controllers for Switch over the years, and NYXI has now come out with its own product: the NYXI Wizard.

Other than the GameCube-style design, the NYXI Wizard is unique in that it aims to eliminate drift that has become prominent with Joy-Con in particular. This is done with the Hall Effect joystick. Since it never physically touches, “the sensors do not wear out like they do on analog joysticks”, preventing drift in the process.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were both part of the top ten. Had their sales been combined, they would have placed at #3.

Other than that, there’s not much that’s overly exciting. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion saw its debut at #3. Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo Switch Sports had a strong month, coming in at #7 and #8 respectively.

Kirby Air Ride Masahiro Sakurai

In a new video on YouTube, Masahiro Sakurai discussed the making of Kirby Air Ride and why he decided to create a racing game based on the franchise. He acted as the project’s director and a designer.

Sakurai first pointed out how more games were needed to coincide with the Kirby: Right Back at Ya anime. With a racing game, it would be quicker to develop than a traditional action game. Other titles for were also already planned, including a mainline entry for GameCube that ended up getting cancelled.
