3DS eShop

The latest Pokémon Shuffle Event will start on Monday, June 8th and run until June 22nd. You will have access to Pokémon Girantina and the stage is the first in what is called Escalation Battle where time you complete a stage, it then becomes more complicated with added obstacles. When you reach Level 5, you will get 1,000 coins and when you make it all the way through to Level 50, you will receive a Disruption Delay item. The likelihood for capture also increases as the stage’s level gets higher.

New stages will also be available on Monday. The stages include Garbodor, Doublade, and Conkeldurr which continue the Pedra Valley stages. Three new Expert stages are also being added, focusing on the Kalos starter Pokémon, Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja.

Update: The OlliOlli update should also be available in North America (thanks omartin94). I wouldn’t be surprised if the same goes for Titan Attacks as well.

Curve Digital has released updates for the 3DS edition of OlliOlli and Titan Attacks in Europe (18 blocks each). Both titles have received patches bringing them up to version 1.1

We’re not quite sure what these updates do at present, but they’re likely bug fixes. If anyone can confirm that the patches are live in North America, that’d be swell!

A free update for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is out today in Europe which adds some New Nintendo 3DS-specific features to the game. The specifics of the update are as follows, according to developer WayForward:

-Use ZL or ZR to quickly swap between Inventory and Map screens.

-Use the Right Control Stick to “Quick Select” your magic and items.

-Tap the Touch Screen at any time to revert to Original controls.

-Owners of original Nintendo 3DS or 3DS XL can also access these features by connecting the Circle Pad Pro accessory.

-Designed with speed-runners in mind!

Splatoon Update

Kicking off a steady stream of free content additions throughout the summer, Splatoon has a new weapon and map: the nostalgia-packed N-Zap ’85 rapid-fire shooter and the Port Mackerel map, both available now. The N-ZAP ’85 is a shooter with excellent ink efficiency and rapid-fire capability. Its attack power isn’t all that, but it’s fabulous at quickly charging up the Echolocator special weapon. Combined with Splat Bombs, this set caters to fighters who like to cover a lot of ground in battle. For more information, visit http://splatoon.nintendo.com.

We recently reported that Tappingo 2 will hit Europe this June, but we now have a concrete date – June 25th. However, Nintendo Life reports that publisher Circle Entertainment decided that it will not be released in Germany on that date. The reason for that is likely the USK, the rating system in place in Germany, as opposed to PEGI, which is in use in most other European countries. Getting an USK certification naturally costs money, which probably wasn’t financially feasible for a rather small game and publisher. Still, the game’s developer, Hugo Smits, stated that he’d like to self-publish the game in Germany at some point.

Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures previously launched on the North American Wii U eShop in early April. Tomorrow, the 3DS version will be released as well.

That’s according to Nintendo’s website, which added the 3DS listing to its website today. Like the Wii U edition, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures will cost $9.99 on the portable. We haven’t heard about any cross-buy support as of now, but we should be receiving a definitive answer tomorrow.

Big John Games recently shared some news about Cube Creator 3D. Along with information about the game’s first update, the developer also confirmed that the European submission is happening very soon.

In terms of Cube Creator 3D’s first patch, Big John Games is adding two new environments, new features to existing environments, new enemies, ladders, several new block types, several texture packs, and the ability to transfer environments between creative and survival modes. There will also be several bug fixes along with improved loading time and performance.

Big John Games is also planning on introducing multiplayer at some point in the future. However, it’s only in “the initial planning stages” at the moment, so it’s a fairly long ways off.

Cube Creator 3D’s first update will be submitted to mid-June. The game itself will also be submitted to Europe shortly. Once language translations and ratings are done with, it’ll be just about ready for launch on the European 3DS eShop.
