Based on data from Stream Hatchet, Nintendo saw the highest peak viewers of any presentation held during E3 2021. 3.1 million viewers tuned in for the Nintendo Direct at its biggest point. That’s based on data collected from Twitch and YouTube Gaming.

Nintendo Directs are always big events, and many enjoy co-streaming. For those that are unaware, this involves having the broadcast running live on an outlet like YouTube while showing reactions in real time.

Co-streaming hasn’t been an issue with Nintendo Directs previously, but at least for today’s presentation, fans could run into issues. The company has advised fans against “mirroring Nintendo Direct footage and sound” while the stream is happening. Videos with reactions are fine, but anything containing audio and visuals can only be posted once the broadcast is finished, assuming they fall in line with the Big N’s previous guidelines.

Of course, this news only applies to Japan. Nintendo has not made any statements for other regions at this time.

LRG3, Limited Run Games’ annual E3 press conference, will be starting soon. The presentation begins at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM in the UK / 10 PM in Europe. It will cover over 25 announcements regarding “new games, physical editions of cult favorites, and reprints of classic titles.”

GameStop has announced a new poster promotion for The Legend of Zelda. If you spend $30 or more on products based on the series or trade towards a Switch system, it can be yours. This is a double-sided GameStop-exclusive poster.

GameStop doesn’t say when the promotion ends, but it should be valid for at least the next week.

Netflix's Cuphead show

As part of its “Geeked Week” event, Netflix debuted a new clip for its upcoming Cuphead show. It was also announced that Wayne Brady will play the role of antagonist King Dice.

Following up on its Castlevania animated series, Netflix has announced a new spin-off show for the franchise.

The upcoming project will star Richter Belmont (a descendent of Sypha and Trevor) and Maria Renard. It’ll be set in 1792 France during the French Revolution.

Netflix announced the news as part of its “Geeked Week”. No further information has been shared at this time.

Build-A-Bear kicked off its Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection last month. Only Tom Nook and Isabelle were initially included, but just as expected, the line is expanding.

Revealed today is that K.K. Slider will be offered in plush form. We don’t have all of the details just yet, but he’ll come with his signature guitar.

Build-A-Bear will begin taking orders tomorrow, June 10. It’ll be up for those in the US here and those in the UK here.
