Following Nintendo’s lawsuit against Yuzu, the two sides have come to a quick agreement. Yuzu will now be paying $2.4 million in damages as part of the agreement, which both parties agreed upon.
It was reported that week that Nintendo was suing the creators of the Switch emulator due to DMCA and copyright violations. Allegedly, Yuzu makers accessed Switch games from a hacked console and made at least one copy of each. According to Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was downloaded over one million times before the official launch.

Nintendo ordered to pay 200,000 yen after court decides doctor carried out power harassment
Posted on 11 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
According to a report from Mainichi, Nintendo was recently ordered to pay 200,000 yen (roughly $1,300) in damages after a court found that an industrial doctor at the company carried out power harassment against two temporary nurses.
The site reports that the nurses filed their initial lawsuit after “claiming that they were unfairly denied employment because their relationship with their boss had deteriorated, even though they had been subjected to power harassment by him.” They were originally sent to Nintendo via a program intended to lead to full employment. After starting work at Nintendo’s human resources department in April 2018, the nurses’ responsibilities included checkups and other duties. However, after five months, the company informed the temporary staffing agency that dispatched the nurses that it would not employ them on a regular basis because they had “failed to establish a smooth cooperative framework with the physician.”
Twin Peaks co-creator recalls talking with Nintendo about Zelda: Link’s Awakening

Nintendo has previously spoken about the influence Twin Peaks had on The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening during development. Speaking in 2010, director Takashi Tezuka said the show “was all about a small number of characters in a small town” and how he “wanted to make something like that, while it would be small enough in scope to easily understand, it would have deep and distinctive characteristics.”
Then last year, the Twin Peaks x Zelda: Link’s Awakening connection came up again after Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost said on social media that he “met with them about it and gave them some ideas”.

The figure is based on one of the transformations included in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. What we have here is a non-scale pre-painted figure made out of plastic. The main highlight is that it actually moves forward after being pulled back, so it’s a little more than just a collectible.
Former Nintendo staffer shares insight into Reggie’s famous 3DS line from first Nintendo Direct

Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime generated plenty of memes during his time with the company, including a line from the very first US Nintendo Direct. For those who hadn’t already owned a 3DS or weren’t thinking about picking one up, he had a simple question to those consumers: “What’s wrong with you?” You can check out that clip here.
Former Nintendo staffer Krysta Yang shared some insight into that moment during an episode of the Kit & Krysta podcast. It wasn’t just a throwaway line as the team working on the Nintendo Direct had some discussions about it. However, they felt that the envelope needed to be pushed a bit and wouldn’t be out of character for Reggie to say, so it was ultimately approved.

Spector was asked about the possibility on LinkedIn. Despite having a “high level idea” in mind for a new game, he’s currently busy at his current studio OtherSide and projects going on there. Spector noted: “I’d love to do Epic Mickey 3 but I have a day job that would make that impossible.”

Top 5 rarest Super Smash Bros. series amiibo in 2024
Posted on 11 months ago by Ethan in General Nintendo, Guides | 0 comments
With the Super Smash Bros. amiibo line now finishing with Sora, we’ve put together a list going over the top five rarest figures.
Nintendo has recently announced restocks of several Super Smash Bros. series amiibo figures – including Joker, Terry, and Banjo & Kazooie, who all lie among the rarest of these figurines (especially Joker). To add to this, Nintendo also restocked female Corrin last year, who was once considered the single rarest Super Smash Bros. amiibo. Given how much each individual character’s availability has changed, we’ve put together a list of Smash Bros. series amiibo figures who haven’t yet been restocked. It’s entirely possible that this list changes part way in the year depending on future restocks, so for now, keep in mind that this list is current as of February 2024.
