Liam Robertson has created a new video that looks back on three Metroid projects. It mainly focuses on the troubled development of Hunters and the cancelled Dread game, thought there’s a tiny bit on Federation Force as well. Check out the video below.

Club Nintendo shut down in North America last week, but its European counterpart is still being updated with new rewards. The latest item, which is available now, is a second Game Card Case.
Here’s everything you should know about the reward:
Holding up to 18 Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS Game Cards, this handy carry case comes with three reversible sleeves: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/The Wind Waker, New Nintendo 3DS logo and cover plates/ABXY Buttons, and classic Super Mario Bros. icons on white/blue. Choose your favourite! Measures approx. 13.5 x 12.5 x 1.5 cm

Mario Kart Arcade GP DX gets first update in North America and Europe

Bandai Namco said that Mario Kart Arcade GP DX would be receiving annual updates when the game was first announced. This has held true in Japan, and the overseas version has now received its first update as well.
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX version 1.04 EX brings about a number of new elements. This includes new characters Metal Mario and Rosalina, mirror modes of all tracks, a new title screen, new vehicles and power ups, and improved drifting mechanics.
Mario Kart Arcade GP DX’s new version features three levels of boost based on the length of your drift. Drifting now provides a boost at the end similar to the Mario Kart console games.
The Japanese version of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX most recently added an online cross-site vs. location. It’s speculated that this will be available in the next annual update here in the west.

Ness, King Dedede amiibo starting to reappear at GameStop

Various reports are coming in about the Ness and King Dedede amiibo returning to GameStop. Stores are officially selling stock on Thursday, but some folks have been able to get their hands on both figures today. You may want to call your local GameStop and try your luck!
Mighty No. 9 live action movie announced

We’ve known about potential plans for a Mighty No. 9 live-action movie for over a year now. Today, the project was officially announced.
Legendary Digital Media, Contradiction Films, and Comcept are all partnering on the film. This will be made available for digital platforms.
Tomas Harlan, partner at Contradiction, said of today’s news:
“We are thrilled to be working with the great Inafune-san on Mighty No.9 and feel so fortunate that the Legendary Digital team shares a common vision for the live action adaptation of this very special video game.”
Mighty No. 9 creator Keiji Inafune also chimed in with the following statement:
“The announcement that Legendary Digital is collaborating with Contradiction and comcept on creating a live action project based on Mighty No.9 is really amazing, not only for myself and the rest of the team at comcept who worked on the game, but also for all the fans who have supported the project. This collaboration will give our creation the ability to reach people all over the world. Thanks to all of your support, we have fulfilled another one of our dreams.”
