Nintendo product manager says Wonderful 101 could “transcend to a wider audience”, “it’s not a niche game”

– Nintendo UK product manager Danielle Robinson
Whether The Wonderful 101 is a niche game or not is hard to say. It has the depth of all of Platinum’s brawlers, but (played on easy mode) it’s also pretty accessible and easy to button-mash through. Honestly, I think if a kid and his parent saw it on store shelves, it’d look like the kind of thing they’d want to buy. Maybe that’s the appeal Nintendo is aiming for.
GameStop explains Xenoblade pricing, Metroid Prime Trilogy and other “vintage titles” returning

GameStop has provided an official comment on the situation surrounding Xenoblade. According to a statement provided to Kotaku, the game’s price (and pricing for other games) “is competitive and is based on current market value driven by supply and demand.”
GameStop also confirmed that Metroid Prime Trilogy as well as other “vintage titles” will be returning to GameStop “in the coming months”.
The full statement reads:
GameStop regularly receives feedback from our PowerUp members regarding old titles they would us like to bring back, such as vintage games like Xenoblade Chronicles. We were recently able to source a limited number of copies of this title to carry in our stores and online.
In fact, we have sourced several more vintage titles that we will be hitting stores in the coming months, including Metroid Prime Trilogy.
As always, our pricing for these games is competitive and is based on current market value driven by supply and demand. PowerUp Pro members always receive a 10% discount and earn PUR podints on pre-owned purchases.

Black Forest Games still pursuing Project Ravensdale even if Kickstarter fails
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Unfortunately, it’s looking like Project Ravensdale won’t reach its Kickstarter goal. Black Forest Games will need to raise over $400,000 within the next three days, which is just improbable at this point.
But there is good news! Even if the Kickstarter ends unsuccessfully, Black Forest Games doesn’t plan on cancelling the game “any time soon”.
The studio wrote in a new blog post:
“We’ve been getting a lot of messages about what will happen to the game if the Kickstarter does not succeed, and we want you all to know that while unfortunate, it won’t be the end of Ravensdale. We want to make this game and while it may be a while until we can secure the funds in order to produce it, we aren’t planning on scrapping it any time soon. Without the success of this Kickstarter the game will not be made for some time, but we will keep you updated with any movement regarding the project on the dev blog.”
Black Forest Games recently told us that they were interested in bringing Project Ravensdale to Wii U. Hopefully that will still be the case in the future!

Project Phoenix, a new indie RPG created by “AAA” talent, won’t be coming to any Nintendo platform. A notice posted on the official Kickstarter page states the following regarding a potential release on Wii U, Wii, and 3DS:
“Currently we do not have any plans to release it on those consoles.”
PC is the only confirmed platform for Project Phoenix at this time. PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions are likely as well.
