Skul The Hero Slayer physical

The action-platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer, which first appeared on Switch in October, has now been confirmed for physical release.

Merge Games is teaming up with Neowiz and SouthPAW Games to bring the action-platformer to retail. Along with a standard version, a Signature Edition is planned. The latter version has special goodies including a soundtrack CD, art card, keychain, and enamel pins. All copies of both the standard and Signature Edition come with a booklet and digital soundtrack code.

Sangwoo Park, CEO of SouthPAW, had this to say about the physical release for Skul: The Hero Slayer:

The SEGA Genesis Nintendo Switch Online app has just updated with five new games. Players can access Altered Beast, ToeJam & Earl, Dynamite Headdy, Sword of Vermilion, and Thunder Force II. Note that an active Expansion Pack subscription is needed – these games are not offered in the base Switch Online membership.

Nintendo typically announces new games in advance for Switch Online, so this news certainly comes as a surprise. Paper Mario was confirmed for the N64 side of things on December 2 before going live on December 10. This is also the first time that the SEGA Genesis Switch Online app has received new titles.
