The Isle of Armor started development before Pokemon Sword/Pokemon Shield released

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are kicking off the new Expansion Pass not terribly long after the main games released. The Switch titles launched last November, and we’re now getting the first wave of new content with The Isle of Armor this week. The Crown Tundra will also follow later this year.
Speaking to IGN, The Pokemon Company’s Elvin Glee confirmed that The Isle of Armor expansion started development before Pokemon Sword/Shield released. Perhaps that isn’t terribly surprising since it’s only been half a year.
Game Freak has previously said that the Expansion Pass is replacing what we’ve typically seen with past Pokemon titles offering a new version set in the same region. That means there won’t be standalone releases like Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon for Sun/Moon.
Square Enix files new trademark for The World Ends with You in Japan

On June 1, Square Enix applied for a new The World Ends with You trademark in Japan. It was officially made public today.
Normally we don’t feel that trademarks filings are noteworthy – particular when it comes to Nintendo, since the company regularly covers its basis for its older systems and games. However, this situation is a bit different.
For one thing, Square Enix doesn’t seem to constantly file trademarks for its older products like Nintendo. We’ve also seen that The World Ends with You is being featured in key art for the upcoming Anime Expo Lite 2020. The World Ends with You: Final Remix also came to Switch a couple of years ago, so perhaps Square Enix has more plans in store for the IP.
