FIFA 19 for Switch will let you play with friends online

FIFA 18 was the first time EA had its soccer franchise on a Nintendo platform in several years. Despite being a solid effort in some ways, there were some notable and surprising omissions such as the inability to play with friends online.
With FIFA 19, EA has addressed this. The Switch version is playable at EA Play, and Press Start reports that you can play your friends in full best of five online friendlies.

FIFA 19 is coming to Switch on September 28, EA revealed today. The game will feature the addition of the UEFA Champions League and stars Cristiano Ronaldo.

EA Play 2018 press conference live stream

The first E3 press conference of 2018 will be kicking off not too long from now. EA will be up first with its EA Play 2018 event at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe.
If we’re being perfectly honest, we don’t expect a whole lot of Switch news here. FIFA 19 will almost certainly be shown, but that may very well be it.
Regardless, you can watch the conference as it happens below. If any Switch announcements are made, we’ll have the news right on the site.
Minecraft up for pre-order on the Nintendo UK store

The Nintendo UK store has opened pre-orders for the new, physical version of Minecraft. You can reserve it here.
What you’ll be buying is the Bedrock version, which contains all previously released content, including the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack and all DLC. Players will be able to connect with friends on non-Nintendo systems via cross-platform play.

Warriors Orochi 4 launches September 27 in Japan, lots of footage and debut trailer

Koei Tecmo just wrapped up a live stream where it had a lot to show for Warriors Orochi 4.
In Japan, the game has been given a release date. It’s slated for September 27 with the typical Premium Box and Treasure Box. A digital Deluxe Edition will also be available with a season pass, new weapons, and an early unlock of Tamamo.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, LEGO DC Super-Villains panels set for E3 Coliseum

E3 Coliseum will be featuring a pair of notable Nintendo-related panels next week.
First up, Mario + Rabbids creative director Davide Soliani, lead producer Xavier Manzanares, and composer Grant Kirkhope will be stopping by for a session on Tuesday. The plan is to delve into the “exploration of the music behind this acclaimed game.”
Special Mario Tennis Aces costume will be added in later for those who missed out on the demo

By participating in last week’s Mario Tennis Aces Pre-launch Online Tournament demo, you can receive a bonus in the full game. Players will be able to unlock a special outfit so long as the proper data exists on their system.
If you missed out on the demo, you’ll be happy to hear that the outfit will be offered to everyone at a later date. Nintendo intends to have it available with a software update.

Sushi Striker update out now (version 1.0.1)

Accompany yesterday’s launch of Sushi Striker, the game has received its first update on Switch. Nintendo started distribution of version 1.0.1.
Sushi Striker’s initial update is a small one. Nintendo only states that the patch implements various fixes to improve gameplay.
