The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia seemingly delayed to June 2018
Posted on 6 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia is the next issue in the Legend of Zelda book series by Nintendo, following Hyrule Historia and Arts & Artifacts. Originally, it was slated for a release in the West on April 24th, 2018. However, it seems like it got pushed back a little. Several Amazon websites, including Amazon US, Amazon Germany, Amazon France and Amazon Spain now list the book as releasing on June 19th, 2018. A couple of sites like Amazon UK still have the original April release date, though it’s likely just a matter of time until they change it as well.
Similarly, the release date of the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition, which contains Hyrule Historia, Arts & Artifacts and the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia in special NES cartridge-themed sleeves, has also been pushed back to June 19.

Hearthstone designer says there are no plans for a Switch version
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
In the past, Blizzard has sounded open to the idea of having Hearthstone on Switch. Last April for example, senior game designer Mike Donais said that “it’s a good discussion worth having.”
Unfortunately, at least for now, Blizzard is ruling out a Switch version of Hearthstone. When asked about rumors about it crossing over to Nintendo’s platform, game designer Dean Ayala simply stated: “There are no plans to move Hearthstone to the Nintendo Switch.”
Ayala could be playing coy, but the more probable answer is that it’s just not happening.

UK sales for January 2018 – Nintendo leads software market share
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Switch | 0 comments
New sales data is in from the UK for the month of January.
GamesIndustry reports that there was an increase in physical games sold last month compared to the same period the year prior. 1.25 million boxed games were sold, up slightly from the 1.24 million boxed games sold in January 2017. Revenue also rose year-over-year from £35 million to £37 million.
Nintendo is credited for the rise in performance, which makes sense given how Switch wasn’t around in January 2017. The Big N held a 9% share of the software market at that point, but in January 2018, rose to 13.6% and was the top games company in the UK in terms of physical sales.
