Update: Bumped to the top. Added in Sunday’s updates.

Nintendo Badge Arcade has been receiving daily updates since heading. Because it’s continually updated with content, we’re rounding up all of the additions and changes in a weekly post.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week of December 21:

– 10 Kirby Triple Deluxe panels (4 with 1 day left)
– 6 Mario vs. Donkey Kong panels
– 2 Animal Crossing panels (2 days left)
– 2 Animal Crossing icon panel (2 days left)
– 6 Swapnote panels
– 2 system/controller/cartridges panels (two days left)
– Animal Crossing theme when you buy 10 turns

The Wii U version of Pokken Tournament will have local multiplayer, according to a notice on the HORI controller website. One player uses the GamePad as their controller perspective on the GamePad, and it seems the other uses the TV screen as their perspective. Two of the HORI controllers can’t be used in local multiplayer.

Super Mario Galaxy made its way to the North American Wii U eShop this week as the latest Wii download. View some footage of the game below.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition only just launched on the eShop last week. Despite that, it’s already tearing up the eShop charts in Japan. It’s currently the ninth best-selling game on the digital store of all time.

To reach the eighth spot, Minecraft will need to outsell NES Remix. Splatoon, Dragon Quest X, Pokemon Rumble U, Super Mario Maker, Art Academy: SketchPad, Mario Kart 8, and Super Mario World are the other games ahead of it.

A few weeks back, Saturnine Games showcased Antipole DX during a stream for Gameacon in New Jersey. I forgot that I had this, but I managed to capture a good amount of the segment. Watch it below for a 16-minute look at Antipole DX.

Media Create mentioned last week that Wii U bundles have been helping move hardware units in Japan. The Splatoon and Super Mario Maker sets gave the system a big push in particular during the week of December 7, and that has continued since then.

Regarding the Splatoon bundle, this has for all intents and purposes sold out. Nintendo said on Twitter that it has reached the estimate quantity, so production/shipping has been ended. Consumers who are interested in the Wii U are advised to check out sets such as the ones featuring Super Mario Maker and Genei Ibun Roku #FE.

Last month’s issue of Nintendo Dream contains an interview centered around The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. The Japanese magazine spoke with director Hiromasa Shikata, designer Keisuke Umeda, and producer Eiji Aonuma. There were some interesting comments shared, not to mention valuable concept art for Zelda fans.

Costumes are naturally a big part of Tri Force Heroes. During the interview, Umeda talked about what elements were taken into consideration when designing these for Link:

“The first thing is to make the effect [of the costume] easy to understand. Then comes making it look interesting and easily recognizable with colors. Designs were made while keeping these three things in mind.”

One piece of concept art included in the interview is of the Cheer Outfit. Here’s a look at that:

The results are in for Splatoon’s ninth Japanese Splatfest. This is the second time that Red Fox and Green Tanuki have gone head-to-head to promote the Maruchan brand of instant noodles, but we now have a new winner.

Green Tanuki came out on top with 374 votes. Red Fox had the edge in popularity, though Green Tanuki had more wins. The previous Splatfest for this event had Red Fox on top (161 points vs. 139 points).
