Stella Glow “Song Magic” trailer
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Videos | 0 comments
Atlus issued a new Stella Glow trailer today focusing on Song Magic. View it below, along with a description of the game’s mechanic.
Song Magic. It’s one of the core mechanics in Stella Glow – only 5 people on the planet know how to use Song Magic, and coincidentally, all of them are Witches. Unfortunately, one of those 5 is hell-bent on wiping out all of humanity. THANKS, HILDA.
But the good news is that as the protagonist Alto, you’ll be able to recruit Witches to join your party and as the Song Stone meter gradually fills during the game’s battles, you’ll be able to use tide-turning song magic to debuff or damage enemies, or heal allies! It all depends on which Witch you use and well, your own particular brand of playstyle since the strategy RPG offers many, many ways to win in battle.
But as we’ve talked about earlier, spending portions of the game’s Free Time to tune a Witch’s heart will unlock more song magic (and increase your bond with them!) check out more about song magic in the latest trailer!

FAST Racing NEO has a new Hero Mode, meant for F-Zero fans
Posted on 9 years ago by Dennis Gagliardotto(@LyonHart_) in News, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 39 Comments
There’s no doubt that FAST Racing NEO is one of the most anticipated Indie titles coming out on the Wii U, not to mention one of the best looking, but one particular thing people keep bringing up since we first got a chance to properly see it a E3 this year is its similarity to F-Zero.
Art Director of FAST Racing NEO, Martin Sauter, is very much well aware of this, and recently revealed a brand new Hero Mode specifically designed for those that love a challenge and are fans of F-Zero.
In FAST Racing NEO, normally when you go through the shiny strips on the sides, they serve as giving you a replenishment of your boost gauge, but in Hero Mode, the gauge will now serve as the racer’s shield. Hero Mode is specifically designed to be a challenge for the more experienced players, and you must finish in 1st place in order to progress to the next race.
Martin Sauter told Nintendo Life that Hero Mode and the difficulty associated with it should quench the thirst for “F-Zero starved players”.
As a fan of F-Zero and racing games in general, I am excited beyond belief for FAST Racing NEO, and it seems that a good amount of the Nintendo community is as well. What do you guys think about this new mode? Any F-Zero fans out there that can’t wait to get their hands on this? Let us know in the comments below!

Nintendo’s North American online store selling New 3DS cover plates
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in New Nintendo 3DS, News | 0 comments
Update: Bumped to the top. The page is now live, and there are currently ten that can be purchased (thanks CrossForte).
The standard New 3DS finally launched in North America today, but if you’re looking for cover plates, the only option thus far has been importing. That could be changing very soon, however.
An image has appeared on the Nintendo online store showing that New 3DS cover plates will be sold to U.S. and Canadian customers. You can check out the page here, though it’s currently blank. We do at least know that cover plates like the one pictured above should be going on sale soon!

3DS NFC adapter runs on a pair of AA batteries
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Some may be interested to know that the newly-launched 3DS NFC reader/writer accessory runs on two AA batteries. In the actual package, Nintendo has included these so you can begin using the peripheral right away. The 3DS NFC adapter doesn’t require a ton of power, so I imagine you won’t need to swap batteries too often!
