Nintendo announced an unexpected entry in the Metroid series during its Digital Event today. “Metroid Prime: Federation Force” is in the works for 3DS, the company revealed.

Nintendo officially announces Hyrule Warriors Legends

Nintendo made the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors official during its Digital Event today. The final title is “Hyrule Warriors Legends”.

Here’s what we know:
– Shikata directing
– Wanted to focus on multiplayer and co-op
– Wanted to incorporate 3D into multiplayer
– That’s what the totem mechanic was designed for
– Carry friends on soldiers and reach higher places
– Decided on 3 rather than 4 since 4 was too tall
– For single-player, there are supporting doll-like characters
– Can beat a level by switching between Link and the two dolls
– Starts in a kingdom full of fasion-savvy people
– Find out that something has happened, King looking for a hero
– Should appeal to fans of the series
– Fashion element
– Collect items to create new items with new abilities
– Buy/equip to change abilities
– Same courses will different depending on what you wear

Star Fox Zero coming to Wii U this holiday

Nintendo announced a new entry in the Star Fox series during E3 2015 last year. But since the game was in such early development, only a few select members of the press were given an opportunity to see it for the first time.
During its Digital Event, Nintendo made sure to host a proper blowout of the new Star Fox game for Wii U. The game is coming this holiday.

Nintendo’s Digital Event will begin at 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT / 5 PM in the UK / 6 PM in Europe (1 hour from now). You can watch the live stream as it happens below.
Jon will be handling the live blog portion of our coverage, so all updates will follow below once the event begins. I’ll also be adding new posts to the site as announcements are made. Expect TONS of additional coverage of Nintendo’s E3 2015 presence throughout the day as well as the entire week.
Since we have a little while to go, feel free to use this post as a chat thread of sorts. Share with us your last minute predictions! And enjoy everything Nintendo has to offer this week.

Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
- Gamepad footage shown – inside cockpit
- Arwings transform – Ground form shown with 2 legs
- Tanks, hovercrafts, other vehicles shown. All with varying use on the gamepad
- Gyro controls confirmed as an option
- Talks about varied control schemes thanks to the gamepad and 2 sticks
- Walker was originally from Star Fox 2 but the game never made it out
- Landmaster returns
- Gyrowing can send a recon unit which is viewable from the gamepad
Skylanders: Super Charger
