Yoshifumi Hashimoto, the producer of Bokujo Monogatari, is celebrating this week’s launch of Story of Seasons with a special message. Hashimoto wanted to share the following as he reflected on the accomplishments of the series’ past and his feelings of gratitude toward fans:

Over eighteen years ago, we were inspired to create a game that was not about battling fantastic monsters but about the cycle of life. At the time, there was little corporate interest in a farming simulation about the natural cycle of life and death. But over the course of the many games in the Bokujo Monogatari series, millions of players grew crops, raised animals, and perhaps even learned about the life of a farmer, who takes care of a farm top to bottom with his own two hands.

Square Enix has shared additional details about the upcoming soundtrack for Bravely Second.

The soundtrack is comprised of 46 tracks, spread out across three discs. The first disc features 18 tracks, while the other two offer 16 tracks and 12 tracks respectively.

Two versions of the soundtrack are being prepared. There will be a standard release for 3,300 yen, plus a limited edition for 3,800 yen. The limited edition features original packaging and custom illustration jackets.

Various illustrated cards will be distributed by retailers, including a special one from the Square Enix store. Those who pre-order the soundtrack or ryo’s new single “Great Distance” will receive a special code that can be used to bring ryo’s data into Bravely Second.

Bravely Second’s soundtrack is coming to Japan on May 20.
