KnapNok thinks Spin the Bottle name may have been a mistake
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 3 Comments
During a GDC Europe presentation, KnapNok Games’ Lau Korsgaard reflected on a few different topics including Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party.
Korsgaard feels that the studio succeeded with its Wii U eShop game. However, he did admit that the “Spin the Bottle” name may have been a mistake.
Korsgaard said:
“It has been really hard figuring out how to frame [the game] right. For instance, it hasn’t been received that well in the States … it has been received okay but a lot of people thought it was too naughty. Spin the Bottle in America has all the sexual subtext of people kissing each other, so I don’t think parents would let their children buy this game and play it. So I actually think maybe we shouldn’t have called it Spin the Bottle but just Bumpie’s Party or something like that.”

Night Trap ReVamped not coming to Nintendo platforms because of “too much bad blood”
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 38 Comments
Yesterday, a Kickstarter launched for “Night Trap ReVamped”. Night Trap, LLC opened the campaign in hopes of bringing back the classic game in a high-definition format.
Night Trap ReVamped is planned for a bunch of platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Mac… but no release on Nintendo platforms is planned.
A console like Wii U could certainly handle Night Trap ReVamped from a technical standpoint. However, the game’s developers explained on Kickstarter that it won’t be coming to Nintendo platforms due to “bad blood” with the Big N that was created two decades ago.
Check out the explanation in full below:
