E3 2020, undoubtedly one of the biggest gaming events of the year, is facing the strong possibility of seeing cancellation.
Gaming publisher Devolver Digital advised its followers to cancel flights and hotels that had been booked for the expo. A number of sources have come out since then with similar information, including journalist Mike Futter.

Rumor: March 2020 Nintendo Direct on the way, Nintendo in final stages of putting it together
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
Update: VentureBeat has updated its article, and says that an Indie World presentation “is likely happening March 18, and then Nintendo Direct will happen March 26.”
Original: We haven’t seen a general Nintendo Direct in more than half a year, so the anticipation for a new broadcast is at an all time high. Adding to that is the uncertainty behind Nintendo’s 2020 lineup, as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is one of the company’s few games confirmed for this year – and we still don’t have an exact release date.
It’s only a matter of time before we see the next Nintendo Direct, but VentureBeat claims to have some information as to when it will debut. The site is reporting that Nintendo is “in the final stages of putting the video presentation together,” which could air “in the next two weeks with a penciled-in date of March 18 or March 19.” That’s based on some information VentureBeat has received and other indicators such as YouTube playlists being updated.

Rumor: Nintendo requested Sora for Smash Bros., but Disney didn’t let it happen
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate already has five DLC characters, but the fun isn’t stopping there. It was announced last month that another six fighters are set to be delivered by the end of 2021.
There’s always speculation as to who could be joining the game. Sora from Kingdom Hearts is one such character that’s been highly requested by fans, but it has yet to happen. Apparently, that isn’t due to a lack of interest on Nintendo’s part.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered announced, seeking return on Switch through Kickstarter
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
The Wonderful 101’s return has been teased for what feels like years now. Those teases continued last week, as PlatinumGames posted an image on Twitter featuring director Hideki Kamiya with the time “1:01” on the PC screen behind him. Today, all of those teases have provided tangible results.
PlatinumGames has announced The Wonderful 101: Remastered, a return of the Wii U game through Kickstarter. Rather than going through a publisher, the studio is handling the project directly.

Rumor: Are Platinum Games teasing something The Wonderful 101 related?
Posted on 4 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Rumors | 0 comments
A couple minutes ago, both the official English and Japanese Twitter accounts of Platinum Games posted the image above, showing Hideki Kamiya at his desk. His computer monitors are completely black, except for the Platinum Games logo and the date and time on the left one. You’ll notice that the time says “1:01” – a possible reference to The Wonderful 101. Many fans are already speculating that this might be Platinum’s way of teasing something related to The Wonderful 101, possibly a port of the game for Nintendo Switch. Naturally, this picture by itself isn’t confirmation of anything – while it’s unlikely that the monitor prominently displaying that exact time behind Hideki Kamiya, who was the director of The Wonderful 101, is a coincidence, Platinum Games are known for being cheeky and sometimes putting out references to their games that don’t necessarily mean anything.
Still, the company have talked about The Wonderful 101 and a possible future of the series recently. In June of last year, Platinum Games stated that they’ve been doing “a lot of intel gathering” about the game. Also, in February of last year, Atsushi Inaba, who was the producer of the game, said that he’s interested in releasing The Wonderful 101 again. Back in 2017, they posted some artwork of some The Wonderful 101 characters playing on a Nintendo Switch.
What do you think? Are Platinum Games actually teasing something here? Or are they just having fun?

Update: Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that the tweet was inaccurate. EB Games Canada has also since removed its message.
Whaat!?
No way, where can I get this product?
… Could it be that we didn’t realize that someone are making it?
;DSuch item does not exist right now.
Thanks! https://t.co/0hYBet71aR— Yoshinori Ono (@Yoshi_OnoChin) January 26, 2020
Original: Could Street Fighter V Champion Edition be coming to Switch? EB Games Canada seems to think so. The retailer tweeted out the news, claiming the game can even be pre-ordered in-store.
Despite what EB Games Canada says, there has been no official announcement from Capcom at this time. That means we’ve either got a mistake on our hands, or the store said something a bit earlier than intended.

Rumor: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl beta sprites leak, show distinct male/female designs
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors | 0 comments
A potential Pokemon leak recently surfaced on 4chan. Supposedly, a whole bunch of beta sprites from Diamond and Pearl have popped up online. They’re notable in the way they present the Pokemon, as there are distinct designs for male and female variants.
Take Pikachu for instance. Apparently, the female version of that creature has a heart at the end of her tail and is lop-eared. We also have a look at a female Charizard with one horn, a female Arcanine with a swept-back mane, a female Mudkip with a shorter head fin, a female Plusle with smaller ears, and a female Marill have a larger ball at the end of its tail.
Here are some of the highlights:
