Getting down to some of the nitty-gritty:

And some analysis and comments from Nintendo:

During the six months ended September 30, 2016, we saw strong trends for the global release of Kirby: Planet Robobot. On the hardware side, Nintendo 2DS saw sales growth. The release of the smart device application Pokémon GO led to increased sales of software in the Pokémon series released in the past and drove the Nintendo 3DS family hardware sales growth, particularly outside of Japan. The sales volume for hardware this period was 2.71 million units (19% increase on a year- on-year basis), while software held steady with the previous year at 19.23 million units sold.

For the Wii U console, we have decided to ship 0.8 million units this fiscal year, based on our forecasts of comprehensive demand for Nintendo hardware. Activity has conformed to our expectations from the start of the fiscal year, with hardware sales volume of 0.56 million units (53% decrease on a year-on-year basis). There were no hit titles this period to compare with Splatoon and Super Mario Maker last year, so the software sales were 8.3 million units (33% decrease on a year-on-year basis).

Corpse Party has a snazzy “Back to School Edition” at retail. If you prefer going digital though, that’s an option here. To download Corpse Party on the eShop, you’ll need 6,737 blocks of free space, or 842.125 MB.

Corpse Party is now available on 3DS. For the game’s launch trailer, watch the video below.

We published a review of Corpse Party earlier today. For those that missed it, you can read it here.

For the most part, the Pokemon Sun/Moon demo is the same on all 3DS systems. The experience itself is exactly the same obviously. Differences on New 3DS and regular 3DS (plus 2DS) systems come down to how it runs.

Just as we’ve talked about before, the demo disables things like Miiverse on older 3DS systems. It also causes the system to fully reboot when it’s closed.

You can view a comparison video between the New 3DS and regular 3DS below. Again, they’re mostly the same, though the New 3DS seems to handle the last battle better in terms of performance.

Following Nintendo announcing the Japanese release date for Momotaro Dentetsu 2017: Tachiagare Nippon!! earlier today, Amazon posted the official boxart. View it above, and check out some screenshots below.

– Every year at the end of March, the sum total of the money in your possession and owned property, as well as your earnings, will be announced
– At the closing of the final fiscal year, the player with the greatest sum total will be the winner

Halloween is around the corner ladies and gentlemen, and as far as I’m concerned, there’s no better way (or game) to get you in the spirit of all things creepy and dead than Corpse Party. A series that I love dearly is finally making its way over to 3DS for the western audience to enjoy, and it brings along extra chapters not before seen in any of the previous ports and iterations.
