It’s not entirely unexpected, but most of the coverage surrounding Fire Emblem Warriors has pertained to the Switch version. The New 3DS version hasn’t been completely forgotten though.

In Japan, the pre-load option for Fire Emblem Warriors on New 3DS has started via the eShop. The game takes up 16,811 blocks of space. In other words, that’s 2.05GB.

We also have screenshots from the New 3DS version of Fire Emblem Warriors below. This is actually one of the first times we’re seeing the game on the handheld (especially with the bottom screen), as it was only shown briefly during the original announcement earlier this year.

Koei Tecmo has released two more character trailers for Fire Emblem Warriors. These showcase the characters from Fire Emblem Fates – the Nohrian and the Hoshidan royal siblings, plus both versions of Corrin. Give them a watch:

A few days ago, Koei Tecmo announced its lineup for this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Fire Emblem Warriors will be featured in a big way. Not only will the game be playable, but Koei Tecmo is planning multiple events for the game.

Amazingly, Fire Emblem Warriors will have four different stage shows on consecutive days starting September 21. Each one should be streamed live on Niconico at least, and seemingly YouTube and Fresh as well.

Nintendo Dream kept up with its monthly interviews with the Fire Emblem Warriors developers in its latest issue. Following the reveals of Female Robin and Cordelia, the Japanese magazine spoke with producer Yosuke Hayashi and director Hiroya Usuda.

Naturally the discussion had plenty of discussion about those two characters (including why Male Robin was chosen over Female Robin for the story). Hayashi and Usuda also discussed things like implementing the Pegasus Knights for gameplay and the difficulties there, incorporating strategic elements from the Fire Emblem franchise, and more.

Read our full translation with Hayashi and Usuda below. Previous Nintendo Dream interviews can be found here and here.

Koei Tecmo has published a new trailer (in Japanese) for Fire Emblem Warriors. The video show off all of the characters from Fire Emblem Awakening that have been revealed so far: Chrom, both male and female Robin, Lucina, Cordelia, Lissa and Frederick. Check it out:

The official Japanese website for Fire Emblem Warriors has been updated again with some new information and screenshots showing off the game’s reinforcement systems and the the recently new announced characters Male Corrin, Sakura, and Elise.

Below is the new information for Fire Emblem Warriors translated, courtesy of Gematsu.

■ Characters

Corrin (Male) (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki)

A young man who was brought up in Nohr while being of Hoshido blood. He has the power of a dragon hidden within him and fights using a sword called “Yato,” as well as possesses the special trait of turning into a dragon to attack. His attack motions and abilities are the same as Corrin (Female) (voiced by Satomi Sato).

Sakura (voiced by Hikiko Kanemoto)

The kind-hearted princess of Hoshido. She was separated from Fire Emblem Fates protagonist Corrin when she was a child. She attacks using a bow and has the ability to recover HP like Elise.

Elise (voiced by Ayaka Suwa)

The youngest of the four Nohrian royal siblings. She has a cheerful and innocent personality that shines brightly upon the gloomy kingdom. She is a Troubadour who fights riding a horse, can heal allies, and uses attack magic.
