Pokemon GO’s popularity has been taken to another level thanks to some craziness in Taiwan. On Saturday, what looks like thousands of players went into a frenzy after Snorlax appeared.
A video spotted by TIME shows the chaos. While it’s unverified, Chinese media reports indicate that the Xinbeitou district has become a daily focus for “thousands” of players looking to catch Pokemon. The civil-defense brigade has had to be called in, plus police reinforcements from neighboring areas.

Shin’en on why it decided to pursue DLC with FAST Racing Neo
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 8 Comments
Shin’en launched FAST Racing Neo on the Wii U eShop last year. Several months later, it’s not only receiving a retail version, but also brand new downloadable content.
Martin Sauter from Shin’en explained to Nintendo World Report at Gamescom last week why the studio ended up pursuing DLC. He said:
“I said from the start we would love to support FAST Racing NEO in the future. We were discussing it in the office, and it was totally clear that when the game came out and the reception was good that we’d keep working on that. We started fixing issues, adding minimaps, adding stuff we found, it was pretty clear we wanted to go with DLC, make something because the demand was so heated. We were asked if there were new tracks coming, Nintendo approached us and asked “Is there interest in a physical release”.”
FAST Racing Neo’s DLC will encompass 8 new tracks, 10 new vehicles, and 18 new audio tracks.

Earthlock devs: “we want to launch on Wii U before the holiday season”

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a Kickstarter-funded RPG by SnowCastle Games that’s currently in the final stages of development. While it’s looking like the Wii U version won’t be the first one out the gate, SnowCastle Games are determined to release it as soon as possible. Here’s their statement from their latest Kickstarter update:
We are dead set on getting the game out on Wii U. We believe our backers deserve it and on the contrary to what some say, we also believe there is still a Wii U market worth pursuing. How long it takes we don’t know, but we really, really want to launch on Wii U in good time before the holiday season. (That means November)
RPG Maker Fes announced for 3DS
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
The preview images for this week’s issue of Famitsu revealed something quite interesting – namely, the announcement of RPG Maker Fes for Nintendo 3DS.
We will have to wait for more details until we get our hands on proper scans of this week’s issue tomorrow, but judging from the small preview images, this is looking like a classic entry in the RPG Maker series. In case you’re not familiar with it, the RPG Maker series allows you to, well, make your own RPGs, even if you have no programming or game design experience. While the series has mostly been on PC, there were also a few console and handheld versions, including one for Nintendo DS.
We have no details on a release date at the moment, and there’s no word on a Western release yet.

Pokémon Shuffle’s weekly update features legendary lineup, including White Kyurem, Diancie, and more
Posted on 9 years ago by Jake in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Pokémon Shuffle’s update is truly legendary this week, with a whole line-up of legendary Pokémon. All of the added stages will run until September 6, and feature an all new White Kyurem battle, as well as repeat runs for Shaymin Land Forme, Zekrom, Zygarde Complete Forme, and Diancie. If you have already caught Shaymin or Zygarde, you can earn Skill Boosters for them. Diancie is an Escalation Battle, which will let you earn more prizes the more times you beat the stage, including Diancite. Unlike most Mega Stones, this is not a competitive stage, and every player can obtain it. Finally, on the note of Mega Stones, next week’s update will feature a Mega Charizard X competitive stage, allowing certain players to get the Charizardite X.
